2x6" speakers, hi/low gain input, eq, chorus, headphone, ect. It's a 10w practice amp but you could probably do small gigs with it. I play mostly rock and some clean stuff with it and it works great for me in my bedroom. I actually use it more than my 60's Gibson Skylark.

Sound Quality : 8
I use it with my Fernandes and it sounds pretty good but it lacks the warmth of a tube amp. Although it's not really a tube amp so what can you expect? With the chorus on it sounds a little hollow but is still nice. The clean sounds are kinda dry but it's still a nice amp.

Reliability : No Opinion
I haven't had it for very long but the previous owner used it quite a bit and it's still workin so I'm happy.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with peavey before, and I seriously doubt it's still under warranty but I doubt this thing will break down anytime soon.

I've been playin for a little over a year. I own a Fernandes Vertigo, a Gibson GA5 Skylark, a Epiphone 12 string, and a Yamaha acoustic. If it were lost I would probably buy a marshall or try to find another. If you can find one for under $50 I would reccomend buying it. It's a great little amp.

This amp was a mid 80's model. Solid state, 2 channels, effects loop, 3 band EQ, Chorus.

Sound Quality : 3
Let me say up front that Peavey makes some great amps, unfortunately this isn't one of them!

The amp I tried out sounded horrible. The clean sounds were thin and the distortion was very processed sounding. I'm amazed that people would give this thing anything above a 5 in this category!

I also noticed the level dropped for a half second several times when I was playing for no apparent reason.

The noise coming out of this thing is nothing compared to a quality tube amp (or one of the newer solid state amps).

If you think about it - there's a reason why this amp was discontinued years ago ;)

Reliability : 7
Since this amp was about 20 years old and still kickin, I have to give it a 7. I would have given it a higher score, but the popping and scratchy sounds when you adjusted any of the EQ's or volume really got on my nerves. I'm sure I could have torn it apart and cleaned the guts of this thing with some electrical cleaner, but then again - why bother?

Customer Support : No Opinion
I've heard Peavey has good customer support, but I've never had to deal with them so I'm not offering an opinion of them.

Overall Rating : 4
I got this amp off of a friend to try out before I bought it. I played through it for about 20 minutes and gave it back to him.

I've been playing for twenty years and I've owned several amps. My current rig is a Martin Monroe electric, Digitech 2120 through my computer (for recording). I'm looking for a practice amp that I could also use for gigs (30 - 50 watt range). (This amp is 10 watts, so I was trying it out just to see if it was worth the 50 bucks).

I've played through Mesa Boogies, Fenders, Marshalls, Sundowns, and several other brands of amplifiers. In it's defense - the unit I tried was old and not taken care of.

However, all things considered, you would be better off saving your money for a quality amp. I prefer tube amps, but there are some newer solid state amps that come close to a tube sound.

If you were really crunched for money and weren't planning on playing this thing in public, I guess it would be worth $10.

10 watt stereo chorus 2X6 amp (some reviews say 2X8, I'm not sure if PV made different versions of this little guy, but I'm good enough with a ruler to be sure that we're talking 2X6). Clean and distortion channels. Footswitch reportedly available, but probably not worth paying for, unless you want to gig this amp, but it's not exactly a powerhouse. Lo/Hi Gain inputs, stereo headphone out (gives you chorus in one ear/raw sound in other ear--nice sound, but weird). 3-band eq. Dual pre-amp outputs. Weighs 19.5 lbs Feature-laden for such a small amp.

Sound Quality : 9
I'm a rocker at heart, but play at home and in church only. I have a great ear, but mediocre fingers. The sounds of this amp are similar to other 80's/90's solid state chorus 2Xwhatevers. Not up to Jazz Chorus in terms of the clean sound, but essentially noiseless and quite pleasant. The distortion is better than I expected, although based on previous reviews for this amp and other SS chorus amps, I was not expecting much. Does much better with lower pre-gain settings--more overdrive than ripping distortion. I play a Hamer USA Artist through this amp. This guitar could probably put good tones into a Squier. No pedalboard, since it's just for practice. I see a lot of reviews where the reviewer expresses shock at the volume of a low-watt amp. Remember that the relationship between power and volume is not linear. This amp is about 60% as loud as a 50W amp. Louder than you would ever really need to practice.

Reliability : 9
It's a 1989 and works fine. I trust Peavey. In general, their stuff seems to outlast Fender for less money.

Customer Support : 9
You can download the original manual from the website, despite the fact that the amp is no longer produced. No warrantee obviously, but solid state amps usually hold up well.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing off and on for 15 years; seriously for 5. This is a great little amp. Easy to grab and go. It cost me 1/6 as much as my Classic 30 (class A tuber--purchased new), but there's no way the Classic 30 is 6 times better. That's the benefit of entry level gear. You can find good (not great) stuff for next to nothing.

I'm not sure if everyone would call this a virtue, but this amp is just plain cute. I think I'm going to make a little oak cabinet for it and transplant it this summer. Also, I'll probably try "gigging" it at church soon some Sunday where I'm pretty much playing clean rhythm. This is not a $1000 amp, but the review scale here says that "10" means fantastic value. Dollar for dollar, this is the best amp I own.

I bought this amp used as a practice amp. I think it might be five years old. Peavey doesn't make it anymore. It is a stereo chorus amp with two six inch speakers and ten watts per channel. It has the following inputs/controls: high and low gain input, clean channel, saturated channel ( not distorion but a bluesey tube saturation sound),three band equalization, a single control for chorus depth and rate, head phone jack, footswitch jack ( for chorus or drive ) and two pre-amp out jacks. As a practice amp it has plenty of volume and the chorus is very adequate.

Sound Quality : 9
I use this with a Fender Nashville Telecaster and the sound is very good for a small amp. I tried it with my Takamine acoustic-electric and it did not sound good - very electronic sounding, not very natural. I use it in a small room and am very pleased with its sound and versatility with my Tele. Remeber, its a practice amp.

Reliability : 10
I imagine its reliable. I bought it used and it still works after many years. Besides, its a Peavey so its pretty tough.

Customer Support : 10
No requirement yet for service, however, I went to the Peavey web site and looked up the owner's manual for the amp and downloaded it. I'm impressed by Peavey's customer support in archiving manuals and making them available for customers at no cost over the net.

Overall Rating : 9
This suits me fine as a practice amp and I would recommend it to anyone. I'm sure there are thousands out there used at reasonable prices. Its reliable, sounds ok , and is good value - and its a Peavey. The other amp I have is a 35 year old custom built tube amp, 40 watts, with two J.B.L. fifteen inch speakers. Why did I want a practice amp? Well, aside from moving a heavy amp head and two cabonets around, it cost me $200.00(Cdn) to retube it. Some of the tubes are no longer made and expensive if you can find them. So, for $75.00 I can practice, practice, practice without looking at another $200.00 bill for tubrs.

Bought this amp in 1987, have had it since then, It does have a stereo headphone jack which is great cause I live in an apartment, It has a distortion/clean switch(which I never use), cause the saturation sucks, but it is a chorus amp and the chorus screams pretty good. I leave it on the clean side all of the time and pump a distortion pedal through it. It has 2-8' speakers, pre and post gain , 3 knob eq, pre-out, and chorus knob. I use it to support a speaker for my stereo currently but have used it for band tryouts, with much sucess, It's a little peavey wonder and it pumps out about 10 watts.

Sound Quality : 9
I usually use it with my early 80's squier which I bought from a guy, who bought it from another guy, who needed to get a tattto finished, When I was apartment bound(and still am) I liked it because I could plug in another source(cd, tape) and play along through headphones. It has always sounded good. It is not noisy.

Reliability : 10
It's a peavey!

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to deal with peavey, never had a problem with the three amps I've owned. and I just bought a T-Max, still no prob.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for about 15 years and I can say, If you can find one of these things for around $25 dollars; it's a sure bet. If it were taken or srolen; I'd just get a table for the speaker it's supporting. It's a great amp, I have too many amps now,(Mesa's,marshall's,fenders and an egnator) but it has been the best one I have ever owned.
