The Peavey Bandit 112 is a great sounding solid state amp with two channels, a clean channel, and lead channel. The clean channel sounds great for playing anything from blues to rock and the lead channel has excellent sounding distortion for playing hard rock and heavey metal. The amp also has a killer Reverb, high and low inputs, effects loop, and external speaker output for giving 100 more watts to a cabinet.

I mostly play heavey metal and hard rock, and this amp sounds great playing both. I play a Fender Strat, and a Washburn Dimebag Darrell, and both of these guitars sound killer through this amp. The distortion can go from clean to chunky with the turn of a knob, with very little feedback. The clean channel sounds great too. I can crank it up to seven or eight and it sounds great with no distortion, I dont do this to often though because this amp is so damn loud. The amp sounds great playing any style of music, the only thing I dont like is the constant low pitched hissing sound, other than that this is a great amp.

This amp is very reliable and I would definatley take it to a gig with out bringing a backup. It has never broken down, and I dont excpect it to either.

I have been playing the guitar for a little over a year, and this is the best solid state amp that I have heard. I was maybe going to pick up a Marshall amp, but I did not have a 1000 bucks to spend, and I also didn't want to have to replace tubes every six months. For less than 400 dollars, I think this is the best solid state amp out on the market and if anything did happen to my amp, I would definately buy this amp without hesitation.

The Peavey Bandit 112s is a two channel 80 Watt combo amp with a 1X12 Sheffield speaker. comes standard with a effects loop and a speaker jack to drive a seperate cabnit at 100 watts. This is a excellent amp for playing hardrock to heavey metal. The lead channel gors from warm to crunch and the clean channel is quite nice too. The only thing I wish it had was a built in chorus for the clean channel, but other than that this amp is a great buy for under $400.

I play a strat with a "George Lynch Scremin Demon" and this amp sound killer. I like alot of midrange and this amp has it. I run my BOSS EQ through the effects loop and it sounds even better. If your into fat distortion this amp is for you. Peavey did a really good job with this transtube stuff, this amp sounds as good if not better that some more expensive all tube amps I have tried.

This amp rocks, but don't take my word for it! If your looking for a new amp I suggest that you go down to your local music store and try this amp out for yourself. You won't be dissapointed.

This amp can do a whole bunch of styles of music for you. The clean channel has a nice good clean sound I like to play blues through it. The lead channel has tons of gain. I like Van halen and Metallica and I can get all that and more through this amp. The only thing is this thing can tend to hiss up a lot when you crank up the pregain and the master volume. But stick a compressor in it and it takes it out.

This amp suites people with taste for hard rock and in your face heavy metal. If you crank the pre gain over 8 it tends to hiss up but you got to remember if you want tons of gain its gonna hiss. The clean channel has a very nice un distorted tone to it I like it alot. The distortion is a killer on this amp thats why I bought it. I run a custom Ibanez 7 string in it and it has a hard hitting metal crunch to it

I have dealt with Peavey many of times on friendly notes, but I think they would do a good job in helping people out with there problems. I got a chance to met Mr. Peavey at a NAMM show and he is a great person.

I would buy it again. I love the gain on this amp. Compared to some mesa's and marshalls and crates this one over powered them all.

The TransTube Bandit is very full-featured, and more importantly, all the features work well. I have no problem dialing in the sound I need, even though my music ranges greatly in style. Being able to dial in the output and presence are usually sufficient to find the "sweet spot" tonally regardless of what day of the week it is, or how the preamp tubes in my Digitech 2101 are behaving. I use this amp in a church environment, doing contemporary worship that ranges from soft ballads to rock, even some heavy metal. At 80 watts, it is probably somewhat overpowered, as I really only use it to monitor my sound (I go direct to console from the 2101, but also have used a Peavey direct box that hooks into the speaker circuit). To get the desired amount of "juice" from the amp requires it to run fairly loud, sometimes too loud for the situation. Being able to control the output helps a lot, but having less power (maybe 50 watts) without giving up features would be ideal.

Contemporary worship covers a wide variety of musical styles - ballads, blues, rock, heavy metal, country - this amp can do all these well. Other amps seem to be really good at one thing, but lack versatility, and the ability to get a good sound in many styles. The Bandit is somewhat noisy, but not to the point of having to shut it down during "down" times. However, the 2101 is running directly into the front of it - its noise gate takes care of it, but also probably contributes to the problem. I usually use just the clean channel, but tend to run the T-Dynamics on the low side (30-50%). As with a good tube amp, at higher volumes, the amp gets juicier, and begins to sing. Again, the 2101 is always running into at least one tube, and this makes a very musical sounding combination. The distortion channel is fully capable of screaming and screeching, and produces an excellent emulation of tube distortion in my opinion. Because of the need for a wide variety of musical styles, my guitars are Fender and custom Stratocasters. The Fender is equipped with Duncan stacked vintage humbuckers; the custom has vintage-type single coils and a Mike Christian bridge system. I am thrilled by the tonalities obtainable with both of these guitars.

I have owned a lot of Peavey gear through the years, and have yet to experience a failure. My old Bandit 65 spent 2 years in a damp closet, and worked perfectly without even a crackle. This Bandit 112 is certainly up to Peavey standards.

Peavey is the best company there is to deal with - responsive, polite, informed - what more can you ask for?

Yes, I would buy it again - in fact, I'm thinking of getting a 2nd one (after playing for 30 years, you get a little tired of carrying amps, even small ones like the Bandit). There is nothing on the market that even comes close for this kind of money. Even my heavy metal brother with the Mesa Boogie Mark IV says the TransTube power amp sounds like a tube, and this guy hates solid state amps with a passion! As far as I can see, there is no way to improve upon this amplifier for what I do.
