I think this amp is great. I have been tickled pink with the distortion and reverb of this amp. It has "Pull clear" on two of the pre's and a "Pull thick" on another which sounds much better for some parts of the music that I play with my band, and we play mostly punk. I would recommend this amp for any young band who play lots-o-punk music. The power of this amp is good compared to some of my others, and there are no features that I do not use. It has effect loops in the back but no head phone jack.

I have a squire series strat and this amp sounds great with my guitar. The distortion is great for my style of music (PUNK). It has a slight hum, but if you're really going at it with drums and bass you can't hear it much. In my band I like to use alot of false harmonics which are like chimes but higher in pitch and in different places on the freat board, and the amp goes from false harmonics to power chords very nicely. The clean channel I use only during my practice and most tuning. The distortion is killer!!!

over all this amp is wonderful for beginners like my self(I have only been playing for a year" If this amp were lost or stolen I would get the same thing probably the only draw back is the weight, its very heavy. Soon I will get a new distortion pedle (more distortion!!!)cool!

When it comes to features...this amp is fairly decent, it has reverb. But it works pretty good for most rock or heavy metal.

I play a Strat with 2 single coils and a humbucker. I play rock 'n' roll (Led Zep, Van Halen) and heavy metal (early metallica), and this amp suits these kinds of music very well. This amp hums alot. The clean sounds are very clean and thick (with my Strat), I haven't tried any other guitars on it. The distortion is very strong and thick, it's perfect for old Metallica.

I've been playing for just over a year, and I own Oscar Schmidt acoustic, and a Crybaby Wah-wah. This amp is my first amp, but if it were stolen, I'd probably buy a diferent amp, not because I'm not satisfied with it, it's a great amp. I'd like to get a tube amp. I love this amp, it has all the power that is needed for a small gig, or just starting out, I just wish it wasn't so heavy =)

A perfect garage-band amp. Loud enough to play with a drummer [and my drummer POUNDS the skins], but small and cheap[ish]. Enough options for you to create your own sound. Reverb kicks.

100% Punk! I love the distortion, solid and aggresive. Think Black Flag. Sadly, it also tends to make funny sounds [buzzing, ect...]

this amp is a fighter. You can play very loud paying a low price. The advantage of this amp it's that you can play in a pub with a relative low weight and transportable amp.It has two channels (clean/distortion) and a three-band equalizer that makes his job well. The reverb is functional.Good price-cuality relationship.

The sound is not too fine. The distortion channel sounds too dirty heavy metal. You cannot use it for playing old rock'n roll styles (Deep Purple, Led Zep, etc), because the mid-distortion sounds bad.Only recomended tho the punk generation.

This seeming little amp packs a lot of power. I play mostly Hard Rock, but sometimes I venture into more bluesy stuff. The amp has two channels, one clean, the other dirty. It has low, mid, and high controls, as well as a presence knob and reverb. The presence has great range, and the reverb is "OK". There are effects loop inputs. I wish only that the distortion was a bit more fuzzy. I've played indoors in medium sized buildings and outside, and I have never gotten to 10 (Maybe soon, though, our drummer got new drums).

This amp works ok for my style of music, but I rarely use the amps distortion. I run through a Boss Metal Zone Petal, which makes the amp hum loudly. This is ok for me because I just play loud and it drowns out the hum. Sometimes the distortion will work on the clean channel, and sometimes not. I think this might just be a fluke. The amp can do almost anything. The distortion is not enough for me, and it doesn't work unless my guitar volume is cranked.

I've never had it go out at a gig. That's good because I have no backup. Once I couldn't get any power out of it, so I kicked it (reverb off!) and it came back to life.

If I had the chance to go back, I would do it all again. I like its features and power, but hate the weight. It must weigh a pound per watt.

This is a pretty versatile little amp for the money. Ample power for most situations. Two channels - one clean and one overdrive. This is a solid state rig that can come pretty close to a tube sound. Channel switching is done thru the foot pedal. Bright and presence controls, plus lots of flexibility on tThe overdrive channel. No tremelo, which I really miss for the swamp bluesy stuff. Two inputs, one regular, one low gain, which I never use.

Reasonably quiet for an inexpensive unit. Great range of overdrive/ distortion sounds. Good crisp clean sound, tho not as bright as my old Fender Pro. I play mostly 50's-70's rock, blues & a little jazz and this amp fills the bill nicely.

I bought it used 3 years ago, and have never had any problems other than a loud buzz after carrying it around in the back of my pickup over miles of bumpy dirt roads. I shook it a little, and it's been fine ever since! Seems to be a well built, rugged little box.

Even though I didn't buy it off him, my local Peavey dealer photocopied the manual for it free of charge, and was very willing to give tips and advice. However, I have had no dealings with Peavey.

I would probably buy something very similar, but I would like tremelo. The best features of this combo amp are it's compact ruggedness and reasonably good sound for the price. Easy to haul around, lots of punch for a small box.
