This is a small Peavey amp that is 40W RMS. It has two channels, clean and distorted. GOOD for beginners. I had it for a year and just sold it for a bigger amp.

Sound Quality : 5
The distortion blew. I did not like distortion at all. The clean was decent until 5 or 6, then it started to break up. The distortion was very scratchy. I use a Danelectro Fab Tone to give me distortion because I did not like any sound that came out of the 2nd channel. There is not too much variety in the sound, but I like to fiddle with knobs a lot, so I got a new amp with a LOT of knobs (Peavey Special 212, if you see one, you'll understand). I play a variety of stuff, and it does not do too well with that sort of thing. If you just want to play around in a room alone, it is nice. I give it a 5 because it is not for me, but for someone who does not need something special. As I said, good for beginners.

Reliability : 9
Very reliable. When I started gigging, it went through a lot of crap, and suprisingly stayed together well, that is why I bought another Peavey. It never broke down on me. I would use it without a backup, just because it was my only amp, but I did not need one after all.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to deal with them.

Overall Rating : 8
I liked this amp to just jam in my room, but as soon as I got a band and started playing bigger shows, then I needed something bigger. If I were not in a band, I would probably still have it and use it, with pedals of course (sorry Peavey, the distortion really got to me). Again, if I were to just play in my room and it were stolen, I would probably buy a new one because it would fit my needs. I cannot emphasize it enough, VERY GOOD FOR BEGINNERS!

solid state, two channel, hi/lo input, headphone socket, footswitch (channel/reverb), 3 way eq on clean 2 way eq on gain, brightness, pull 'thickness' knob, rated at 35W rms. small light easy to carry. preamp out socket. small transformer and small magnet 10" speaker. hmm.. has a rugged construction and a carry handle :) and the on/off have a red led. not bad features for a small amp.

Sound Quality : 5
i use an ibenez artist AM-66 semi acoustic guitar (hmubuckers). occasionally i even play quiet bass thru it too!! Its basically a practice amp that sits beside my at my computer. i play many settings one of my faves atm is clean vol2 low 7.4 mid 1.3 hi 3.5 reverb 4.9 gtr on neck p/u vol just backed off tone way down about 2. works for nice bass like finger jazz stuff. careful of master vol tho will cause speaker to crack just b4 amp clips which can be nice, tricky tho. um typical peavy supersat distortion tone ie nice sustained thin lead sound..basically cracnk everythign but reverb to max :p this sound sounds better the lower the master volume !! also the pull thick has me tuning the 6th string to D and hammering out power chords everytime and I'M basically a blues/jazz man! ie its fun but i wouldnt buy this amp to just play HM. the clean sound is okay. BUT you dont but this amp for it's tone!!! its no fender twin or boogie.

Reliability : 8
peavey's 5 year warranty is a good sell point. i dunno about reliability as its just my practice amp but i sometimes jam with it and even small gigs ie pub blues jam nights and it copes. It even dont protest about the bass too much!! I've had a peavy solo 130 in the past and that was a very strong (volume and construction amp) so i trust my envoy 110 too.

concept music in perth are pretty good to deal with.

Overall Rating : 7
i been playing since sheesh..um well i bought my first amp in 1975 but i only got back into it recently. I also own a pignose and an ibanez les copy an yamaha rbx250 bass ( just for multitracking) a classical gtr handmade, and a fender acoustic. I will be buying another amp, valve this time, for gigging very soon. maybe a fender deluxe fender, peavey delta or seymour duncan 84-50. Um this peavy is fine my purchase criteria were #1 light weght (bad back) #2 reasonable clean sound #3 had to fit in my tiny car boot #4 reasonable inexpensive since i have moved mostly into blues next time i might buy a champ or a cheap small fender. but all round its a fine dependable practice amp with a fun distortion channel.

An absense of FX Loop is the main shortage of this combo. Clean and lead footswitchable channels with reverb work fine and sound satisfactory.

Sound Quality : 6
I use custom built Jackson-soloist style guitar playing metal-like music. The combo is not noisy, two channels with separate controls could produce a variety of sounds although I prefere just to turn all knobs to 10 :-). The sound of distortion channel is alright, especially with "thrash" feature activated, however I'd prefere to have more gain when playing leads.

Reliability : 6
I had a problem with the input socket but fixed it myself. As the combo has solid state origin there is nothing to break down, I don't feel it needs a backup for a gig.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Who cares about musicians in Russia :-(((

Overall Rating : 6
I don't feel I will recomend Envoy for serious playing but it is fair as rehearsal combo and for small gigs. The lack of FX loop also decreases its rating

2 channel solid state amp with footswitchable distortion on/off and on/off of reverb. 40 watts one ten inch speaker. It has a button you can push to get additional gain which you will probably want pushed in because it sounds much better. No effects loop being the only significant feature it lacks.

Sound Quality : 10
I like to play metal and blues type stuff. I would say that it works very well for both styles. With the gain boost button pushed in it's more metalish with the button not pressed in its more bluesish. The gain booster makes the distortion sound pretty brutal. The amp is really for the most part quiet especially the clean channel which is very quiet. The amp seems to make all the sounds you would expect out of such an amp. The distorion sounds much more tubelike than other solid states I have heard.

Reliability : 10
I haven't had it very long (2 weeks). Just from examining it I'd think you probably could use it without a backup. It looks to be excellentlly made.

Overall Rating : 10
I've only been playing a few weeks now, I'm using this with a Mexican made Fender Telecaster which I bought at the same time I purchased the amp. I have been very happy with both purchases. I would recommend this amp to anyone who wants a great sounding amp for not a great deal of money. In comparison to a Laney solid state a friend of mine has there is no comparison. The Laney sounds like junk next to this amp. I do wish it had an effects loop but its not really that big a deal to me. I would definetely without a doubt buy this again.

Good simple basic features like reverb and a pull switch on the gain knob which adds more gain. Two channels , clean and drive Good for practicing and small gigs due to 35w

Sound Quality : 7
This amp is perfect for heavy-metal by using the pull knob on gain knob. It saturates at 2. with the knob off it doesnt sound too good but the clean channel is very clear.

Reliability : 5
When cranked its very noisy in the gain channel but pretty good in the clean. Problems occur if played at high volumes 7+ for extended periods

Overall Rating : 6
I would not buy it again , but I would recommend it to any metal players as a practice amp. Should have an effects loop too.

Decent features, 2 channels, footswitch, reverb, bright switch, plenty of power for practice/small clubs

Sound Quality : 6
Good clean sound for a 10" speaker; but the overdrive channel is a bit harsh, I find... not a lot of nuance.

Reliability : 10
no problems in 5 years

Customer Support : No Opinion
no problems

Overall Rating : 5
For the price it's fine, but if I had to do it again I'd pay a little more and get something a little more versatile & smoother

2 footswitchable channels (clean & lead), reverb, preamp out, external speaker jack. No FX loop :(

Sound Quality : 9
The clean channel sounds excellent, and so does the distortion channel. Really much bottom end for such an small amp. The distortion channel can make really fat lead sounds. The reverb is not so great, it doesn't sound too good and it also makes some irritating noise. Otherwise, the best sounding amp in this price & size range (my opinion).

Reliability : No Opinion
No problemo so far.

Overall Rating : 10
I'd buy it again because it sounds so good. I tried at least Crates, Fenders, Laneys, Marshalls and decided to buy this Peavey. I wish it had an effects loop, and maybe I'll add it myself if I find the schematics.

For an amp in this price range, it does have some good features. It has a headphone jack and reverb, as well as footswitchable channels (clean, distortion). I don't find it very versatile, though. The distortion channel is limited, and has so little presence that I always use a pedal instead. Could use an effects loop. It's got power to spare, if you're looking for a practice amp. I only use mine at home, so it has plenty of volume.

Sound Quality : 7
This amp does have a pretty decent clean tone, but it isn't spectacular. I've only found one or two settings that I really like, but they are pretty good. There isn't too much background noise, but when the clean channel is on you will hear some noise if the gain or volume for the distortion channel are set high. The clean channel is good up to about 5 or 6, but the distortion never gets very nasty.

Reliability : 9
This amp has never given me any trouble, and I bought it used. I've turned everything up to ten, and it works fine. It's a Peavey, so it would still work if you threw it down the stairs. I would trust it to do several gigs in a row and never break down.

Overall Rating : 7
This was my first amp, so now I know a lot more about tone than I once did. I don't know if I'd buy this one again, I might look for a small Fender or something. Still, it has been pretty good for an entry level amp. It's served me faithfully, and does have a half-decent sound.
