My setup has changed a bit so:

I just wanted to fallow up on my last review and tell you why. I have used the amp out live exactly 25 times now. This amp sounds better every time I use it. I'd say the Honeymoon period is over, and I am still in love with this amplifier. I like the tone so much that I got rid of every effects pedal I owned. I just don't need them anymore because they get in the way of the gorgeous sound of this amplifier. Before I would use FX to subtly "cover up" hashness of a lesser amp's circuit. No harshness here - Just tone. My favorite setting is, well that's a secret. Get one and find your favorite setting(s). Actually, I do use one pedal - an MXR Micro-amp for lead boost. For clean I roll back my guitar's volume knob - for nice overdrive, I turn my guitars volume up 100% - for sweet lead tones, I step on the micro-amp which is just a boost pedal and the amp responds so well to it. If I need an in between "Aerosmith like / more saturated" rythme overdrive, I can roll back on the Micro-amps volume with my foot, keeping the guitar's volume at 100%. That's my small venue setup. Guitar - MXR Micro - Amp. So much control with so little, and I don't have to dance around a pedal board the whole show now! That is a serious plus for me because I am the front man too. Fooling with FX and crap is the last thing I want to be doing on stage. Just up there to play and do my thing.

I've gone through countless guitar amps trying to find the right one. The search has ended - Finally.

What an amp is supposed to have. Volume - Volume - Treble - Bass - Presence. Simplicity is best in amp land.

Sound Quality : 10
BEST AMP EVER!!! I did a review on another amp Billy built for me and loved it so I had him build this one. I've always liked the 5f4 circuit, but wanted a single 12" driver rather than 2x10. This amp is less aggressive than the Penn Tweed Series, but is exactly what I need for my rythme tones. I use the other amp for serious lead tones. I like this one best though. I compared it to a real Tweed 59' Fender Super Amp the other day (same circuit). I love the sound of both but the PENN amp is richer and more 3 demensional. This is likely due to the fact that Billy uses EXCELLENT parts.

I'm not worried.

I've never experienced better customer service.

I've been playing for 10 + years. Own several guitars, my Thineline Tele is my favorite for this amp. I'll buy another amp from Billy regardless if this one is lost or stolen. He can build anything I want. Why would I get anything else? I love that it's the richest sounding amp I've ever played. I hate nothing about it. Compared to anything on the market, nothing will beat the quality and gaurantee on these amplifiers.

By the way. BEST AMP EVER.
