This is a drop dead fender tweed champ reproduction. There is only one knob and I like it. This design is about as simple as it gets.

This is a class a design and it is almost comical how expressive it is. With a les paul or es-335, you an simply play a single note and get off on the bloom. Very vocal. You can really talk through this amp.
This amp sounds very good at all points in its volume range. You can put it on ten and simply use the volume pot on a guitar to work it.
At this point, my other amps are pretty irrelevant except for crunch.

The construction of this amp is both simple and apparently bomb proof. Mercury Magnetics transformers and NOS tubes. The MAZDA 6V6 is the bomb. The cabinet is solid pine with straght grain on all sides. The handle is leather.
I plan on playing this amp into the ground.

The Penn shop answered within 24 hours multiple e-mails about the specs of this amp. It has a warranty for life.
I bought the amp at auction from the factory. They used it as a demo and as a result, reduced the price about $300, to $450. If you add up all the hipo parts, this is a steal. The amp is considered part of their custom series.
The amp arrived encased in bubble wrap and fitted tightly in a heavy box. Under the bubble wrap was a thick padded cover! Also, the NOS tubes were also in bubble wrap.

I can't find fault with this amp; how often do you really get to say that?
