This amp was made in the mid 70's. It was Pignose's first attempt to go beyond the small battery powered amp field. It has a 12" Eminence speaker, 30w. RMS, Master Vol, Vol, Bass, Mid, Treble. 2 inputs, line out and an FX loop. 1 Channel. Solid state; same brown covering as on the little Pignose. The amp also has the same Pignose type sound only louder. Heavy overdrive, but not heavy metallish. Does not have very good clean sounds. Clapton's "Motherless Children", which was recorded with a Pignose, is a perfect example of the sound. I mostly used this amp for rehearsals. Not quite loud enough to cut it at a gig. TOo bad there's no reverb on this model.

I use Hamers and Les Pauls predominantly, w/both P-90's and humbuckers
Music I play ranges from jamming new wave type psychedelic rock (Television, Velvets, Hot Tuna, Psychedelic Furs, et. al.) to blues, world beat and Hawaiian slack key. This amp is on the noisy side, but has the Pignose sustain and overdrive that make it good for blues type solos. Not really usable for clean sounds. FX loop works ok.

This amp is very sturdy and never blew the speaker. On the gig, the sounds were too midrangey and muddy, not enough "cut" against bass and drums, but ok for rehearsal.

This amp was bought used for $75, and I have since given it to my ex-wife. Never had to get it serviced.

Been playing over 25 years. Also own Music Man HD130, Peavey Bandit, Yamaha G30112 (see review) and a Yamaha B50115 (bass). Overall, it was a good deal for the price, but not very versatile. A small Peavey or some other amp would get more use if cheap enough.
