This is a mid-60's Premier guitar amp in excellent shape. It has Hi & Lo inputs for channel one and and channel 2. Channel one has the ability to use reverb and tremelo. Channel 2 is dry. The sound on this amp is unbelievible. First off, it still has the original MULLARD tubes, the Jensen "Special Edition" speaker, and is hand wired point to point. I know the harp guys are all over this amp, but guitarist should take note. When you come across a Premier in a store, plug it in and play, chances are you will walk out with it. It is a bit quiet as far a power goes...but run it through a P.A. or slave it to another amp to boost it up because the tone from this baby is beyond anything I ever dreamed of.

You can control the shape of the sound best through the vloume control of your guitar. Runnning the amp at 3/4 to full power gives the creamist tone you ever wanted. You might want a TS-p or Sparkle Drive to add a bit for leads, but keep the dist. low. USe it wisely and it will add to your tone, not distract from it. My only complaint from this bad dog is with the reverb. It is saturated. So when you turn it down, you also turn down volume. Sounds like a tube problem to me, or a connection, not a design flaw, so I bet a tech a=can take care of the problem.

OK, this amp is over 40 years old, and is stil being driven by the original Mullard tubes and Jensen speaker. Does that say enough about reliability?????

Premier is no longer with us, so I guess it's safe to say customer support might need help.

I have been playing over 40 years. I have played through plexi's, tweedies, Vox's, Peaveys, Silvertones etc. You name it, I've played through it. This ranks up there as far as tonal nirvana goes. I exclusivly play a Tele through it, and get goose bumps each time I hit a chord or start a run. Also sounds good with Strats and LP's. My Grtesch was a bit muddy through it. These guys are hard to find...in fact impossible almost describes it. THey were originally the second choice of most music stores. If your couldn't afford the FEnder, but the Premier. BUt they have the same quality and sound sometime better. And you can't beat $300 VS. $1300. If you ever come across one, do yourself a favor and try it out.
