What we have here is a basic all tube 1X12 combo with Tremolo. I would say it is about 15 watts, but loud for 15... I would guess this was made in the mid to late 60,s and made in the great old USA. The original tubes had the multivox name but they were DOA. This was an ebay purchase which was badly damaged in shipping. I was able to reconstruct the damaged part of the cabinet. I replaced the speaker baffle with a good piece of plywood (original baffle was made of particleboard with disintegrated, many manufacturers use this still today, I guess to save on costs... This stuff does not last for ever...) also a new Jensen MOD speaker (the speaker included could not have been original) also new Tubes 7591 EH power tube, 12ax7, preamp and a tremolo tube, and of course a new grill cloth. The controls; volume w/on off, tone, and speed for tremolo. Also a foot switch jack. The tremolo goes from fast to speedy Gonzales... Just a bit to fast, but I guess you could find a use it. Reverb would have been nice. Caps have not been replaced and the amp is still fairly quite with almost no hum.

The sound that this little guy produces is simple outrageous! At about 2/3 up on the volume you begin to get into over drive territory, and cranked up to full, a heavy Marshall like tube crunch and drive. You can play this at full bore for hours (if the Family can stand it?) The speaker I installed (Jensen MOD) is efficient and can handle 70 watts RMS, and will never be hurt from this amp. I have this set up in my basement. And primarily play it with a Gretsch Electromatic (2 humbuckers) it is really meant to play loud and has a simply awesome sound. Not really loud enough to do any real live performances with but it can be miced.. Great for classic rock, especially the late 60's, 70's retro sound.

This amp could be close to 40 years old... Has taken a nasty beating and it still works great after the repairs and years! Remember I have not changed the capacitors. They are original, and I only hear a very sight hum after the tubs warm up. Appears to be a very simple design so it should be easy to have repaired.

Been playing on and off of a long time, as a hobby. I have many guitars, a 60's Gretsch (very young when I got this one), a Gretsch Electromatic, and old hollow body 60's electric, a Fender fat strat, tele, and an Gibson LP. All sound good through this amp.
I also have several other amps, tube and solid state, Gibson atlas tube 50 watts, Peavey Bandit, Epiphone acoustic amp, and a Zoom Fire 30 (also a review on this guy) with this amp. The humbuckers will add more over drive. This amp has a really different 60?s, 70?s tube over drive sound.
These amps are almost free from what I have seen on ebay. If you can find one in good shape you will definitely be happy with the sound.

This amp has a tone control (it works backwards), and a volume control. It has two inputs and a 6" Rolla speaker. The knobs are mounted on the top of the cabinet and the inputs are at the bottom of the back of the cabinet. I believe from the brown two tone cabinet that it is from the '50's. It's really very tiny, fun to look at, and fun to hear!

Using my Tele with after market pickups it's got a great early stones type distortion when it's cranked and pretty clean (but not loud at all) up until about five then it gets no louder just more distorted. It is really very musical sounding. With one preamp tube and one power tube it relly excels at one sound, early rock and roll. I'm sure it's around 5 watts or so.

This amp has a home in my home studio but it will never be gigged with it's just too small. I had the cap replaced during a routine service(the pots are not original) just because my tech had an identical NOS part and it did clean it up quite a bit.

From what I understand it was made in England. About the size, power, and very similar to a tweed Champ. I believe it will keep working it's 50 years old now and I believe the company went away prior to 1960 so this section is fairly moot. My tech wasn't surprized by anything he saw inside.

Totally fun! For the money I feel I got a good deal. I initially thought it would be great to display at my office with an old Tiesco or Harmony guitar, but it is usable, and records great. Buy one if you can find one!
