this is an addendum to my previous review....i've started using a behringer v-amp, and this amp just won't get with the program...whether you go into the power amp, which has a very sensitive input, or the front end, there's just no way to get it right...always too shrill...it works great into the power amp on my peavey bandit; the randall just doesn't load it enough...i am sad....

2 channel gain/master....master active eq (+/- 15dB)section with presence...reverb....channel swithching via footswitch)none with amp)...stuck on lead channel(luckily)....original randall jaguar speakers replaced with fane's(used in old hiwatts)...2 ext spkr jacks(can you say "full stack")...line out....very funky six pin footswitch input(last time i saw this sort of connector, it was used in a primitive stage lighting system)....covered with that cool, fuzzy, carpet-stuff............

Sound Quality : 8
a very loud, in your face amp....will go from sparkly clean to unbelievable...quiet, but preamp has so much gain it will develop resonant feedback without a guitar plugged in....played with a tradition lester polfus gold top knockoff (a great guitar)

Reliability : 7
appears to be built like the proverbial tank

Customer Support : 5
when i was a repair tech, i found randall to a bit difficult where parts are concerned....they use a lot of oddball components; things that tend to get discontinued, and there isn't always a suitable replacement...still, they do try. and they seem nice enough

Overall Rating : 8
i got mine cheap 'cause someone spattered neon green spraypaint all over it( came off with nailpolish remover and a fine wire brush )....here's how much i like it....found another one on eBay, and tried to get it, but it went too high for me (over $250)...great for a tranny amp...trying to get away from the high-maintenanance tube race...they don't really sound better, and i'm tired of messing with them
