The Randall BMF Head, Designed for Slash, It can use 6L6 tubes or EL 34s'. Self biasing. Power select switchable from 35 Watts, 50 Watts, or 100 Watts, The owners manual states that this amp offers the tone of ALL the famous classic tube amps with additional tonal possibilites. Clever engineering has been used to combine unique tube powering and tonal shaping capability. Channel 2 is equipped with 3 frequency-shaped gain controls. This makes for limitless combinations of tonal possibilities. These controls influenece the tone by their Gain-Relationship to each other, and, by the frequency curve they each introduce to the signal. Both channels also have an independent volume control and there is an additional, Final Grand master volume control. You can choose how hot or cool to run your tubes, you can also run 6L6, 6550, 5881, or EL34 type tubes. This one is not a standard production B.M.F. Those are rare in their own right. You can tell those buy the cooling grates on top....This one is one of the originals that was most likey demo'ed by the man....He was at Union Station in St. Louis doing radio for Slashes snakepit a few years ago and I got to meet him. I asked about what the deal was with this amp because I had seen it in his collection and backline. He said he loved the amp and wanted something with 2 channels one Fender clean and one Marshall rockin' But once Jim Marshall came callin' he had to only endorse Marshalls. So this one never really got promoted at all. He said it was also his idea for the big brass letters.

I have owned a Soldano Hot Rod 50, This amp with the EL34 Tubes, gets the same tones you can get out of the Soldano, to my ear even better. You can get vintage or modded Marshall sounds, Awesome Clean, the Best I have ever heard. I also own a Mesa Boogie, Heartbreaker, the Heartbreaker clean sounds like @#^%&4 after hearing the cleans of this amp. With 6L6 Tubes I can get a awesome heavy sound out of this head that I like better than Mesa Boogie rectifiers, I have owned 3 rectifiers, and they were always my favorite amp. The BMF amp though isnt just distorted it's like a clean sustain,it doesnt quite have as much low as the rectifier, it could be my cheap cab, celsetion rocket 50's. It has plenty of lows and a great
