2 Channel amp. Reverb, 3 band EQ, Contour control (?), I think this was a 100 Watt amp. I saw the previous post listed it as 150 watts, but I know mine wasnt 150 RMS. My Randall was bought new in 1991, so maybe the newer models were higher output.

I used this amp very sparingly. I had an Ampeg SS-120 and prefferred the sounds of the gain of that to the Randall. I purchased the Randall without ever playing it. I figured it was going to be the same quality gain that a RG-80 amp I tried a few months before. WRONG!!! This has some nice overdrive, but I would be hard pressed to call it distortion. The only way this this sounds good is at stage volume. It is very clean and the drive doesn't break up at all. With a footswitch, this puppy is pretty versatile. I used this mainly with a pre-amp as i never cared for the lead sounds alone from the Randall.

No Opinion
Never had to deal with them, but then again, they are probably like the Maytag repairmen.

I bought it brand new for under a grand. With 2 4x12 cabs. Granted it wasnt equipped with Celestions, the Randall speakers sufficed. The only gripe was I expected to get the Pantera tones out of this amp, and I was extremely let down, to realise this amp could get the tones like Jethro Tull, Blue Oyster Cult, and other 70's kind of distortion. Couldnt even get Sabbath tones.

It has a effects loop, two channels, low and high inputs and 150 watts of speaker tearing power. It is a S.S. so i don't have to worry about busting tubes.

i am playing through a charvel with stock humbucker in the bridge position. It dosn't have the noise of a over rated tube amp but when it isn't pluged into a grounded outlet...it feeds allot!!! mine was used and had the ground plug ripped out, the result was massive feed back past 4. i replace the plug and it sounds fine now. i have got the clean to about 6 1/2 and it hasn't destorted...anymore and i'm affraid i'll blow my speakers!!!! this amp is loud!!!! the destortion gets better with volume(a side affect mostly found in tube amps) it has a highly compressed crunch. very dirty when needed but very clean and compressed too. the clean is bright and alive. the reverbs kicks major butt!!!!!!!!!!

i play with a korg g1 destortion unit through this amps clean channel and it adds a tone of life to tone. the reverbs sounds great and the eq sucks the mid almost all the way out it you want. the bass response is incredible(the reason speaker blowing it feared) all i need now is two randall 4x12 cabs to go with it. this was the amp dimbag of pantera played on befor the rg's came out to my knowledge. it rocks...i woudln't give it up for any marshall or mesa even if i had too!!!!
