Features : 10
Black cloth front
Loaded with Celestion? 30s
Closed back with 1/3 removable back panel
29.5W x 14"D x 20"H
50 Lbs.

All MTS Series cabinets are equipped with stereo 8 Ohm or 4/16 Ohm mono inputs and The Mic Eliminator XLR stereo/mono direct outs. Each direct out includes 3-way voicing switch and ground lift.

Voicing options: Normal, Dark or Bright

I have yet to use the Mic Eliminator feature, but I hear it works very well. I've heard a few guys using it for recording and it's amazing how different the voicings make the amp sound. It does pretty much exactly what it says it does.

I play a variety of different stuff. I'm mainly a metal player (Thrash, Grind, etc), but I do throw down some classic rock and blues from time to time. I was running a Powerblock with a Line 6 XT Live and it sounded HUGE! I thought I wouldn't get as great of a sound as the 4x12 cabs, but this little cab definatly produces a huge tone. For what it is, it's also very loud and defined. They are stock with V30's, which sound great. Very warm and round clean tones and heavy distorted tones. I've got a Randall Century 200 and RG150 head coming in a week, so I'll try and post a review of those and update how they work with the cab.

Reliability : 10
This thing is built like a freakin tank! Heavy wood, study handles on each side and casters make this thing easy to move, and rugged enough to gig with. It's not light by any means, but it's likely to break down either. The jacks in the back are very sturdy also, not flimsy like some other cabs I've played through. Randall has been making some great things these days, and their cabs are some of the best you can buy.

Never had to deal with em for warranty, but they have been great with questions and comments.

I've been playing for about 7 years. I've owned mainly combos and this is my first cab I've purchased. I did a lot of research and for the $ and features (That mic eliminator is a really cool feature to have) you can't find a better cab. I'd definatly buy another one if it were lost or stolen!

Two stock Vintage Celestion speakers. Silver grill cloth, black tolex covering, casters. Basically just a 2x12 cab

Sound Quality : 10
Sounds killer. This is a pretty damn expensive 2x12 cabinet. Musicians Friend sells them for $500! I got it for less at the store I work. Can't go wrong with Celestions. Pushes quite a bit of air creating a full, rich half-stack sound. I play through it clean and dirty and always get a killer sound. I have a Tube Works head which tends to be a little bright. However, this cab offers great bottom end and levels the sound. Very clean, not muddy. Just a great cab.

Reliability : 9
I keep mine in the house for the most part so I can't rate it's road worthyness. However, it has solid casters and metal corners so I imagine it would hold up well. In addition, the shell is three ply birch construction. I guess this makes it very reliable but I'll give it a 9 becuase it doesn't leave my house.

Been playing for 19 years and teach at a music school. This cab rocks. No bones about it. It produces a full sound without taking up the whole room. Pushes alot of air, which is why we buy cabinets. Looks great with the silver grill cloth. Randall really stepped it up with this model.

not alot of features, really its just a 2x12 speaker cabinet. oversized cab with two celestion vintage 30's the left speaker is set up just a tad to add to the sound projection. nice looking silver gill. i use it with my new Randall V-max head and i love the sound. it also has a 1/3 removeable back peice for semi-open operation.

Sound Quality : 9
i play a ibanez sc1620 prestige into my randall V-max into this cab. this setup sounds awesome. i play nu/modern metal and this cabinet really couldn't be any tighter. i took it to my friends house and we compared it to his mesa recto 2x12 with vintage 30's. we played my randall V-max head on it and his VHT pittbull and the randall cab had a bit more and tighter bottom than the mesa. which is amazing cause mesa cabs are known for the bottom. i was a bit inpressed.

Reliability : 9
i'm sure it would be really reliable. its built solid and weighs it too. i like the metal corners and it has removeable casters. (which randall forgot to ship me in the box) the cabinet has metal side handles, none of that single leather handle shit on top. side handles make it way easier to carry. tolex seems really thick and durable. i'm sick of seeing companies putting on paper thin tolex like line 6 products. input jacks are plastic, but pretty much all cabs are nowadays.

like i said randall forgot to include the casters in with the cabinet, i'm still waiting for them to arive. i've dealt with them before and they were very nice. see my upcomming review for the v-max head for details.

i've been playing for over 5 years. i've owned and tried lots of other amps and cabinets. i really do like the sound and looks of this cabinet. i got a great price from a great dealer for it and it was deffinitly worth it. the grill cloth could have been stretched a little tighter but oh well. if your into nu/modern high gain and considering something like a mesa i'd give this cab a series look as well.
