Pre-Wasburn Irvine California USA made Power House Bass Head. Two channels with two imputs per channel. 300 watts. Has volume, middle, treble, and bass on each channel and has a master volume with pull out knob for overdrive. Channel two has treble pull out knob for overdrive. Head is black tolex, with dark orange grill cloth, with the Randall logo..and a large 300 marked on the head near the three way toggle on/off switch. I bought this amp on ebay and thought it was a guitar head..well, it can be used as one just like the Acoustic Heads are. I play a variety of music, mostly rock, new country, and whatever else I happen to like at the moment. I use this amp at home im my home jam/studio room..and am considering using it in a variety of capacities. I may use it for my keyboards..or for my electric drums...or as a back up for my other Randall Heads. I just hooked up a Dod Death Metal Distortion unit to it to test drive footswitches..my ears are still ringing. This amp has POWER and will blow your eardrums. This is a solid state amp...probably late 80's. It is simple in features. I give it an 8 for ease of use.

Sound Quality : 9
This amp will blow your unborn grandchildrens ear drums. It has way more power than I will probably ever use..unless I play Woodstock III or something like that. No hiss, No pops, and both channels are clean as can be. There is no reverb on this head..but your effects will solve all of that. Very muddy distortion..didn't want to blow my speakers so I really didn't cut it up past 4. This amp will drive a full stack of 12's like it was nothing...I just used mine..and I believe it will push another full stack without a problem.

Reliability : 9
This is a solid state amp that has probably been around the barn since it came off the line in Irvine. I don't forsee any major problems at present. I believe it would take a lickin and keep on tickin.

Customer Support : No Opinion
The Irvine Plant is dust in the wind.

I have been playing off and on since Nixon was President. If it were stolen, I would find it. There aren't very many of these puppies out there floating around..first one I have seen. I have two Randall RG 100 ES full stacks right now....and I would find the crack head who ever stole this amp and shove his *&%%$ up his &*^%%...I have been around the racetrack with a lot of different gear. I found my sweetspot with Randall. I got a Marshall Head..but I keep my family picture on top of it. Haven't used it that much since I went Randall...pre-Washburn Randall, that is. I don't love this amp, but I don't hate it either..I thought it was a Guitar Head by the photo when I bought it on eBay...but ir is a bass head. Bass heads have all sorts of uses..and it's a Randall. I alread have a bass set up..an Acoustic 370 with the 301 folded horn cab. For the price I paid for it, I feel I got a good deal and it is in very good condition. Someone took care of this head.
