Mine was made in Sept. of 1990. 2 footswitchable channels (Rhythm & Lead) and a footswitchable Reverb. 150 watts (I believe) through a 12" Jaguar speaker. It has a jacks for effects loops and a line out as well. This is a very powerfull solid state amp. This has what most players need as far as features is concerned.

I use this with a '97 USA Hamer Standard, an '89 Gibson LP Junior RI, and a '98 Fender Mexicaster (oh I mean Stratocaster). I play mostly Blues based types of Rock and this amp suits me fine. It's not very noisy as far as an early '90s solid state amp is concerned. This can cover most anything with the exception of Death Metal. Nice cleans and very tube-like overdrive, this is from when Randall was still making great amps (Pre-Washburn). I love the lead sounds this produces, and have since 1991. I also believe that the Jaguar speaker contributes to it's unique tone. But in the end nothing is ever perfect.

I purchased it used, although I did own one of these new back in '91 (should have never sold it). This one was purchased used by me in June of '03 and it was received in great condition given it's age. After cleaning the pots with De-Oxit and some other regular maintenance, it works fine. It's solid state so hopefully it should still have some years left in it! I don't gig anymore (those days are gone unfortunately) so I have no need for a backup.

I hear since Washburn has bought them out, their service is quite lacking. I have no intention of trying to contact them as I'm sure they will be no help to me in obtaining a schematic.

I've been playing for 13 years. I purchased one of these new in 1991, it was my first decent size amp. I didn't keep it long as I thought I needed to have a half-stack to be taken seriously. I always regretted getting rid of it because I was never able to get that sound again. It was always in my head, but nothing else I tried gave me the same feeling. 12 years later I was able to find a used one on ebay (I had searched for 3 years and could never find one of these). When I recieved the amp it was like revisiting an old friend, just taking it out of the box and seeing that faceplate brought back some fond memories of my younger years. I've owned over 50 high end electrics and about half as many amps (mostly tube). I won't go off and try to claim that this is "better" than a (insert brand name and model here), but it's what I would consider "My sound". These amps are quite rare and I'd get another if I could find one. I really love this amp, and it doesn't even have tubes!!
