This amp has 2 channels, clean/overdrive. Its 15 watts and is ment to be a bedroom practice amp. The features are basic, Volum,Gain,Mid,Treble,Bass nobs.

Sound Quality : 4
I use a Parker P-44. The amp is noisy and the sound is muddy. This amp has close to no sound variety. THe clean channel is toneless. The distortion is muddy. Other reviews seem to like the distortion. They have no Idea what they are talking about or have never heard a good distortion.

Reliability : 10
Its never broken. Not that I realy care if it did.

Dont buy this amp. Go for a better, higher quality practice amp.

This amp is a practise amp. Nothing more. Do not perform with it, it is too small.
The other reviews tell you the features.
I use it in the bedroom. Powerful for it's size (15watt). I've never used the Line Out, so i don't know if it does work, or if it is a second input such as said below.

Sound Quality : 8
It is a killer practise amp for metalheads. I don't play much metal, but it can work for hard rock - grunge. I play a bit of jazz, and I can get some nice tones, but if you want a regular clean sound, it doesn't get too loud without gain, which makes it a bit trebly and sometimes distorts it. I play a Washburn WI24 and that puts out a fair bit with the pickups is came with. Along with my BOSS V-Wah PW-10 i can make some nice drive tones as well.
If you are mostly playing clean, look elsewhere, but it's a nice little amp for me.

Reliability : 9
Who would use this live, unless it was busking or some quiet music in a restaurant. Never broken down at all, I've had it for 9 months. Perfect.

I've been playing almost two years, and it's a good little amp for me. I don't need a big stereo, tube or any big amp. I can get hold of bigger amps for gigging and such things, but this wouldn't do. For a practise amp, it's great! Maybe a different one for a mostly clean player though.
If it were stolen, i'd get a bigger amp, cos i need one for live stuff, and i can't afford to have both. I do wish it had better clean, but it has great drive if used correctly.

Its got stuff, nothin fancy due to the fact its only a 15 watter...but hey waddya expect? Gain, 3 band equl...volume...

Looks nice with the metal grill. :o)

Sound Quality : 8
It crunches badass. A definate metal amp...if you don't like metal, don't buy it. It hums a bit at higher volumes, but not enough to worry me. Very crisp sound.

Its a practice amp, and nothing more. But has great sound. If you are just playing in your house, its perfect. I'm sure it would do ok for jam sessions too. Get it if u need a cheap quick fix.

And to the guy who wanted to actually gig with it...what are you thinking? Its a practice amp..

I have a 2002 model, I believe. I wouldn't say that this is the most versatile amp in the world. The little 12 watt (why it's called the RG15XM is a mystery) Randall is basically a metal practice amp. I pretty much play metal only (real metal with guitar solos, poweful non-crybaby lyrics and properly tuned instruments), and when I play other stuff I just make it sound like metal anyway. Therefore, it does work well for my use. It has one channel, a gain knob, an OD button, volume knob, 3-band EQ, line out (I haven't checked if mine has the same mislabeling as the other guy's) and a headphone jack. It has a six inch speaker and a closed back. Uhh... and a handle. It would be kind of cool if it had a footswitch, but such a small amp doesnt really need one that bad. I use it in my bedroom and it is plenty loud for that application. You can't expect much for under $100 these days.

Okay, kids, this amp ABSOLUTLEY RIPS for its size and price. My other amps are a Marshall Triple Super Lead and a newer Peavey Bandit, so I have spent extensive time with quality equipment. When I brought this home, my roommates almost flipped when they heard how loud this tiny amp was. This thing's distortion sounds way better for practice than the standard distortion on the Peavey which is very noisy and has less crunch than this little Randall. Of course, "crunch" can mean very different things to different people, so we'll just say that it is very metal. This is probably due to the six inch speaker being pushed to the max. Most other amps in this wattage range have an eight in them. My guitars are a Jackson DXMG with an EMG-81 in the bridge, an '80s Kramer Focus Flying V and an ESP M-50 with an EMG HZ in the bridge. This amp sounds great with all three guitars. It isn't all that noisy at full roar. Now if you play a Strat, an F-hole guitar, a Rickenbacker or a Tele you will not be happy with this amp. It was not made for those sounds. Names still mean everything in this industry, and Randall is a hard rock/metal one. The clean sound is not very loud, there is no reverb and it is a little harsh. If you put a reverb or chorus pedal in front of it as a volume boost and to fill out the sound it would probably work a lot better. The clean channel does not distort as long as you keep the gain at a sane level. This is most likely the most brutal distortion you can get at this price level and surely other features were sacrificed for it.

I've only had this amp for about a month and everything is okay so far. The amp at least looks really tough. I don't think I would use it live, but in a really horrible situation you could probably mic it or use the "line out" and make it through the show. It would be interesting to use it in the studio for an different sound here and there.

I have not contacted them. I have no idea about the warranty.

I have been playing for two years but it feels like about ten because I have been through a lot already (shows, practice, writing songs, lessons, gear, passing up people that I thought were gods when I first started playing, hanging out with other bands, band breakups). I already named most of my gear, but I also have a Marshall 3-watt mini amp, several pedals, mics and an effects setup. I played through little Peaveys, Crates, Fenders and Carvins before choosing this amp. A quality product. If it was stolen, I'd probably chase the bad guys down in my IROC (yes, the ultimate metal car) and punch them through the side window just like on TV. Actually, I'd just buy another one because I'm a big wuss.

2002 RG15XM, 12 Watts, 6" Jaguar speaker, 3 badn Eq, dual gain channel, and head phone jack. It is you basic practice amp, nothing fancy.

Sound Quality : 1
How is the sound, it's hard to tell because it is so quiet. I was not expecting somthing that you could gig with but I was at least hopping for a little sound out of it. I play a Hamer Fat Strat copy and a DeArmond X155 through it and on the clean side at 10 with the guitar at 10 it is drowned out by the X155, and even the Hamer is not very autible. Now if you turn the gain on it starts to get audible but anything past 3 gets ugly quick.

Can't say didn't keep it long enough to try and wear it out.

Never had to deal with Randall as I did not keep the amp. But I would like ot call them and tell them that I was not thrilled with the amp and that they should look to give it a little pep.

Overall Rating : 2
It can't be stolen because I sold it and although I ate a few bucks between buying and selling it I have no one to blame but myself for the loss. I have been playing on and off for several years, finally decided to take some lessons so I picked it up to practice on. I had a Crate GX15 a few years back but wanted try some thing different. When I bought it I did not try it out becuse I was to nervous to play in front of the people at the store. After being there many times over the past few months that fear is gone, and I regularly fill the store with sounds of my "not so good but getting better" playing. I went back and played though a few other amps and picked out another that I was much happier with (Fender Frontman 25R). Like people say don't buy it before you try it and how true that is. Don't worry everybody stinks at first and the guy behind that counter has head it all. There are several other small amps in the smae price range give or take $20 that will blow this thing out of the water, the Fender Frontman 15R and Crate GX-15 being two of them.

This is a 12W solid state practice amp. I has volume, gain, 3 band equalizer, overdrive button, CD player (or metronome) input jack, and headphone jack. This is a very basic amp, I don't know if it is just my amp, but it has a jack labeled "line out", and I tried to use it, but it didn't work. Turns out that they mislabeled it, it was actually the 2nd input jack (cd, whatever). This amp goes pretty loud, of course not loud enough to do anything but practice though.

Sound Quality : 4
I bought this amp because it looks badass (compared to all the other practice amps in this price range), and some of my favorite bands use Randall (Disturbed, Pantera) so I figured it must sound good. I was pretty dissapointed however, the distortion sounds pretty bland, it is really harsh and muddy. The clean channel sucks really bad, it doesn't go loud at all, you can barely hear it, and it sounds harsh and toneless. This amp is OK for playing loud metal and whatnot, but it doesn't sound good doing it.

Reliability : 9
I've only had this amp for four months, but it has withstood lots of travel (on foot, on bus, and in car), and lots of bumps. This thing is a rock that happens to have a speaker and an amp in it. The only problem was that little metal ring thing on the inside of the input jack fell off and got lost, but it doesn't affect sound quality.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I wouldn't bother, if something happens to it, I'll use it as a footstool.

Overall Rating : 4
If you are a beginner, I recomend you try a few different amps and see which one sounds the best, I regret buying this amp, and I am getting a new one soon. The main thing I like about this is that it looks bad ass, it is all black with diamond grill and silver Randall logo. Too bad it sounds like ass.
