I just bought this amp second hand, and was told it was already 2-3yrs old. So its at least that old.
It has clean channel with boost and overdrive channel with 2 gain stages( to me its more like overdrive boost, as the clean channel has boost).
Other features include headphone jack, effects loop, and line out for either 4ohm or 8ohm speakers. The 2 12" celestion G12T 100's are rated at 8ohms so if you wanna hook up to a cabinet its best to run at 8ohms.

I use this amp with my Godin xtSA which itself has awesome sound.
The amp doesnt produce any excess noise (hum/hiss), it just sits quietly untill you decide to pump out lots of sound (which it loves to do:). That is unless you stand in front of the amp close up you will get feedback (but this is greatly reduced if i turn down my piezo pickups preamp on my xtSA).
This amp has very nice sound. I must admit that this is the first amp that i have owned so cant compare to anything else ive used frequently. But i can say that before buying an amp i had listened to others and was looking to buy an amp i thought sounded really good (haha obviously).
The sound from this amp is really clean, tight and punchy. The distortion sounds fat and chunky and can be toned really well. It respondes really well with palm mutes and overall it sounds quite simply.. lush

I really like this amp. Ive only had it for a few days now and its the first amp ive owned, so this may be just a honeymoon period.. lol
However i can see myself playing this amp alot, in fact it inspires me to make cool sounds with my guitar.
If it was lost or stolen i would hope that i had more money to buy a head and cabinet, but if i had similar restrained budget issues i reckon id buy it again.
