Simple One-channel with boost. Footswitch is great, for reverb and boost. Twin 6V6GT tubes (JAN's in mine)

Sound Quality : 9
Wow ! Not only can this be loud, it sounds great ! The stock speaker is OK, but plug in a 12" and you're off to the races ! Using a PRS SE Soapbar (single coils) and a Les Paul (humbuckers) through it. Both have distinct characters, and the Pubster let's you hear the difference ! The boost is great. I use pedals through the effects loop too.

Reliability : 5
Just got it.

Nice portable amp for practice (I'll be gigging with it too)
I would replace this if stolen! I love that it's American made (by a company that knows amps!)

I play a 335 .. Your not gonna get alot of clean headroom from this guy but you dont from a 63 DR either . The reverb is amazing . The big surprise is the boost.%!@#$% ing @!@#$%,Focused Chimey with "HEFT" it has the "kaos" factor going in the distortion. I love this little amp.. sound
is subjective ... but !@#$ing @#$%^ this little amp has got my mojo goin . Close your eyes and you wont believe your playin thru 1- 10"speaker. I dont write reviews on gear and i take them with a grain of salt. I work in a music store and try out tons"O"gear. I LOVE THIS AMP.........I would stand on a table on the Ophrah Winfrey show and shout"I LUV MY PUBSTER"(sorry Tom....)

Reliability : 10

Introduced in '05, this baby is basically a Super Champ for 2005. You can get pretty much a creamy Fender sound with the ability to switch to more of a Marshall/Vox tone. One of the nice things about Rivera's (this amp included) is the lack of hiss/noise. It's a real pleasure to play. Straightforward yet enough bells and whistles (speaker jack, line out, effects loop) to both gig and record. Did I say gig? Absolutely! I mic this little guy and off we go.

Sound Quality : 10
I play primarily Strats (American Deluxe and a '91 Strat Plus). The Deluxe gives me almost a P-90 sound with the special switching option. I use a Line 6 XTProLive floorboard as my only pedal. While mostly a blues player, I can dial up virtually any sound I desire and it all comes thundering out of the Pubster with great "attack" and substance. I can chug or finger pick and the 10" speaker kicks @ss. I love this little Beast!

Reliability : 9
It's fairly new, but incredible well built. You can just tell. I will say that the included foot pedal isn't of the same "fortress" feel as the amp. But no worries there. I'll probably just carry some replacement tubes around and not even worry about a back up for now.

NA as I've not dealt directly with Rivera. I will say I was disappointed that there was no manual with this amp. Nor have I been able to find one online. Which raises the only "issue" I've had with this amp. Rivera doesn't seem to have a website. Or what they do have seems to be rather obscure and not up to date (newsletters only up to '96). Looking forward to an update on that front.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing again for about 6 years (started very early in life but walked away from it for 25 years; how stupid was that?). I love this little amp. It reminds me of an old Fender Princeton Reverb amp I had in the early 70s (did I mention it has great reverb?). I love that it's simple. I'm thinking about buying another and using them in tandem at larger gigs, plus one could back up the other. I compared it to a Boogie (F30) and Fender (Hot Rod series) and then bought it outright when I heard it for the first time. In my mind there is no comparison from a value/tone standpoint.

I'm not a professional player and i mostly play at home or with a few friends but i'm always searching for the best tone possible at low volume.
I was attracted to this amp because small amps usually have EL84 power tubes and it's difficult to have the fenderish clean sound that i love.
i have a highway 1 stratocaster modded with Vintage plus Van Zandt pickups.
Finally i can have a SRV style tone with this amp.
The distorsion of Pubster is smooth and pleasant.
When i want an extra kick i use my H&K Tube Factor.

Reliability : 10
Everything seems to be builded very well.
All eq controls are effectives.
All good quality parts.
I think it's a long lasting amp.

Customer Support : 6
i wrote an email because i haven't the paper manual of the amp and i'd like to find at least a downloadable PDF version of it in the Rivera site, but there isn't.
They kindly reply pretty fast.
Anyway i haven't the manual yet.

Overall Rating : 10
Well builded, the best choice for who needs a low power and small dimension amp.
Very vesatile.
I'm very happy with it.
My former amp was a Fender Blues Junior and Pubster sounds more Fenderish than BJ.

Amp made in 2005 by Rivera. Versatile, flexible and light.
It's a single channel but it has a footswitchable pedal to go from clean to boost with it's own gain and master volume control. Sounds like a two channel amp to me! Killer tones. Starts out with Volume, Boost/level Adjustment (Which controls the gain for lead), Bass, Middle, treble, and Master. Then the input for the foot switch. Boost Master knob which can be really loud controls the boost. Reverb folks is awesome. I really mean this. Presence control also.
Effects loop in the back. Twenty-five Loud Watts coming out of a Jensen Speaker (10"). Don't be fooled by the 10" speaker. It kicks.

Sound Quality : 10
Sounds: Cleans are Fenderish. Boosts are Voxie to Marshally depending on the primary settings, boost gain and Master Controls. Very tweakable amp. Great for Jazz, Country, Blues and Rock. Uses a couple of 6v6 power tubes and 3 12ax7's. Reminds me of a Fender Reverb Deluxe thats rated @ 22 watts. But with the boost and gain controls thats footswitchable, it's alot more versatile. Rated @ 25 watts and with an effects loop. Ten inch Jensen speaker has good bottom mids and highs. Very nice sounding reverb. Reverb can be switched on or off with the foot switch. Good presence. Not boxie. I use this amp to re-hearse with the guys. Have not giged with it yet. It can be heard with no problem. So heres the bottom line. You have the Fender, Vox and Marshall sounds in a small package again depending on your settings. Sounds awesome with tube screamers, FD-2 Fulltone, Jekyle and Hyde(Red Pedal) and Carl Martin Hot Drive pedals. It likes overdrive/distortion pedals. In the effects loop, I only use the TC-Electronics Chorus pedal through the effects loop. No need for me to use a delay because the reverb sounds rich.
Great amp.

Too early to tell for reliability.

I have dealt with Rivera before. They have the musicians ear.
Great guys Paul Sr., Paul jr. and staff. Very helpful and honest.

Overall Rating : 10
Great value in an amp that is small but sounds big, clear and good head room. Very happy with amp. Built very well. Not cheaply made.
A quality amp period.
