Well, finally...After buying Mesa Rectoverb, Marshall TSL 2000, Line 6 2x12, Fender Princeton, 5150 and Peavey Ranger, the TBR is such as step above in flexibility and (all tube) tones that I'm just one happy camper. This rack mount amp covers everything that you can play. It's two amp in stereo with 2 separate channels. Channel 1 covers all the vintage gain to High gain and Channel 2 covers Fender clean to pushed clean. It's 160 watts per amp which is more than I need for a bedroom player but why not. It gives you all the headroom that you'll ever need. It's too bad that TBR's have been discontinued...I called Rivera and he told me that the components are just too expensive to put together any more. He would have to charge a whole lot more than the $2,000 price tag these days. But, I'm lucky enough to find a mint one for half the price. Grab one if you can find one. It will be collector's amp for SURE.

THis amp can cover everything. Period. If's in your head and ears, you can find it. It took me a whole evening to figure the amp out since there are so many knobs and switches, but hey that comes with the territory. My style is basically Blues, Rock and a little Metal when it suites the mood. The amp can get a bid noisy when you have it full high gain that again, it's expected. The amp can cover Fender clean to chainsaw distortion.

I've just owned it a week but Rivera told me that this amp has never come through the shop. He couldn't say the same for any of the other Rivera amps but this one. It's build like a tank at 80 pounds!

I've playing since high school and I'm 43, I've had so many different guitar and amps that took all the room in my Study trying to get the sounds in my head. Now, with just a couple of vintage Ibanez Les Pauls, a Zion Classic and TBR-2, G-Force and two 2x12 Mesa Recto cabs with vintage 30's, I'm done!! Search is over. Holy Grail found.
