when it's loud, it's horrible. don't try to use it in band. no bass, no agression. terrible feedback. perhaps, to use it as a practice-amp.

Reliability : 3
no. it's noisy and it sounds crappy.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never needed.

waste your money otherwise.

Built in Tuner, 12" sub, distortion switch, 2 input jacks, one low one high, Headphones jack. Pretty basic. It has an effects loop and a switch jack. For the price at that stage it was OK but hindsight...........

Sound Quality : 4
I have used this Amp with an SX Accoustic, Ibanez GRX 40 , Ibanez PGM30 and A mexican Fender strat. Sounds crap with all of them in my opinion. I however enjoy playing shadows etc and efect with an effects pedal I couldn't get it to do the job.. The amp is pretty loud and distortion freaks will find it usefull, the clean and drive settings are about the only knobs which add value. The bass mid and treble does not allo much change. Even after I bought a Zoom 707 pedal, the sound was not that great.

Reliability : 7
Used it whilst practising one day and my daughter ran between me and the amp. Needless to say, after a few shrieks, the leads jack was broken off inside. I used it daily for a few months, no other problems. The case is however superb, and can take a beating. It humms a bit, which can be irretating.

Customer Support : 1
Phoned Rocktron for advise about the broken off jack, but ummmmm yes, support is a word they have cleary no comprehension of. Spoke to some rude prick, who clearly thought I was an idiot trying to make my problem his. He however won't see me buying any further Rocktron stuff, no matter how good.

Been playing for a year, but I replaced this after 4 months with a Peavey Bandit transtube 112. It's simply the biggest waste of money I have had coz it's more of a metalhead amp than anything else. If youre into metal and you want to annoy your neighbours, this one will done fine for practice, but forget about it if you want a deep tone with lots of echo and depth, like what Hank Marvin uses. SPEND THE MONEY ON A GOOD AMP FIRST TIME AROUND!!!! Shop around before you buy this one.
