All covered already. Two channels. Works with a footswitch. That's it people. Wanna talk tone? Read on...

Sound Quality : 10
No matter where I take this amp, players in the audience never fail to ask me about it. This amp will blow you completely away. It IS a tube amp with about 99.99% of a tube amp's characteristics-minus all the bad things that tube amps have going for them. This is a true PROFESSIONAL amp-not some overpriced hot rod with bedroom EQ for the teen wannabe set. I've been playing Roland Blues cubes for years. There is nothing that comes close in terms of tone, feel and versatility. I'll put the BC 30 up against ANY tube amp under 1000 bucks. The sound quality is astonishing with a Les Paul or a Strat. Pro players own these because they have all the advantages of SS and none of the tube amp drawbacks-but they sound every bit as good as a tube Fender or Marshall.

This is the best SS amp under 2000 bucks...period.

Year it was made? Who knows? Here's a little amp with two channels and that's about it. It acts like a tube amp and sounds like one. That's the standout feature on this amp. You want a bunch of computers and lights and buttons then get a modeler. Modeling amps can make all kinds of sounds. When you get serious about actually PLAYING the guitar you'll get something like this.

Sound Quality : 10
I use Teles. This little amp brings out all the brightness and character of the Tele vibe. It is sensitive so you can get a little overdrive with the volume up and back off for a nice smooth clean. I almost never use the overdrive channel but it sounds fine to my ears. This is a player's amp. Even with the overdrive it is clear and bright. No good for metal but perfect for rock, blues, country, jazz or rockabilly. Not much variety but enough tone control to play almost any style with your guitar of choice. Get a modeler if you want a million sounds. Get one of these if you want THE SOUND...capice?

Reliability: 10

I was going to give this one a 5 but then i realized it's all just crap that would bory the sound(exept for output jack, i wish it had 1)

Sound Quality : 10
I play relatively to extremely heavy stuff(anthrax, megadeth, in flames) most of the time. I'm renting this amp for a month while I'm at my dads. I also rented a cheap tradition guitar with two horrible stock humbuckers but it looks really nice and doesn't feel that cheap. I'm glad I rented this'n because I cant play heavy stuff(although, I can closely approach an older Anthrax sound If I palm mute really heavily) so im learning some blues and other styles. This amp sounds a lot bigger than it is, very close 2 tube. I might buy it.

Reliability : 8
feels sturdy

It's a very sober amp. It's only got 1 input channel and that's it. No headphones; no output channel.
You can switch the clean or overdrive channel with a pedal (cost extra) or a little knob.
The 30 watts is just enough. The good thing about little watts, is that u get the goods sounds also on a low volume level! In comparison to a 100 watt amp.
The amp has a precense knob. It make's the amp sound more like a Tubeamp. I'm not sure about the last thing, but the precense knob give u a great sound! More alive.

I'm using this machine with a Yamaha pacifica 812 (seymour duncan pu's) and it sounds just fine. The clean channel is great. I tried the Fender princeton 65 also, but this one sounds much better. It could be taste!
The overdrive channel is ok. You can change the overdrive sound quite subtle. It's not a tubescreamer but you can get a good overdive. Again: much better than the fender princet. 65!!
I use it with a ce 5 chorus (boss). If u want good clean guitar? This is a great amp. The 30 watts give u a good sound on a low volume, but the amp can make quite a lot of noise to.

Reliability : 8
I just bought it, but i think it's a reliable amp. It looks very solid.

It's a good amp. Great clean sounds! The overdrive is ok. If u need lots of noise, this is not the one. But if u need a versatile amp for rehearsel and small gigs? This is a great amp. And a lot cheaper then most other amps.

I blow blues harp through my BC-30 using a Sure Green Bullet. I never use the distortion channel, it causes too much feedback. In most clubs
it's plenty powerful enough set on 6. I do wish it had a line out for bigger shows, but micing the amp works ok too.

Sound Quality : 10
I mostly play blues music, and I can get a pretty wide range of tones just on the clean setting. With the green bullet I can make it sound distorted and raunchy, or clean and dramatic. Putting the volume past 7 creates feedback. This amp gives me a unique sound on the harp. Most tube amps push too hard, making the harp sound too blaring at the volumes the players need to play it at to get the nice distortion. Not this baby. With the tube technology I get the tube sound without headaches.

Reliability : 10
I've had this amp for over a year, and it still looks brand new, even after alot of hauling from club to club. I've never had a problem with this amp, and I don't use a backup.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I haven't dealt with the company.

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing the BC-30 for a year and a half, and I love it. I get complements on my harp tone all the time, even from guys using alot more expensive gear. I tried many amps before I bought this one, and found things in the tones that I didn't like. I tried vintage fender tube amps, gibson tube amps, and some modern fenders, danelectro's, and still this is my favorite.

The amp is fairly basic in design, comprising a (from left to right) 1 instrument input, channel switch button, clean volume, bright switch, pre and post gain voume controls (dirty channel), bass mid and treble, presence control and master volume. The amp is 2x10", both Rolands own speakers, claimed to be modelled on the famous 'Greenbacks' by Celestion. The only thing missing from this amp is reverb, although I don't miss it as much as I was expecting to and have used lack of reverb to expose the dodgier areas of my technique. The amp has no headphone, line or speaker outs. Again, a shame but understandable to keep the price down

Sound Quality : 8
I use this with my USA strat and TEX-MEX tele. With the strat I cannot fault the clean sounds. The amp uses 'Tube-Logic', to give a more interactive feel to it and this certainly has a good effect on the tone. I play a mixture of 'pub rock', with the sounds of Page, Green, Clapton, Gilmour etc all available through the amp (albeit with careful choice of FX). The clean channel is superb, pristine and very clean, no matter how much volume you give it. I use this with a Marshall Bluesbreaker II pedal and get a most stunning sound ! The dirty channel is a bit of a dissapointment, it doesn't have much sparkle and depth to it, there is also a little bit too much emphasis on the treble strings, they seem to recieve more gain than any others(I tried the guitar on a different amp, no probs). Good sounds are in there on the dirty channel, but significant EQing is required to my clean settings when moving to the dirty channel.

Reliability : 7
The unit seems built real well. The wood for the cabinet is your standard laminate but very solid all round. The 'blonde' effect covering doesn't look very strong and the speaker cloth is a bit too loose. I would gig without a backup and wouldn't expect anything electrical to go on this amp.

Customer Support : 9
Haven't dealt with them, but a three year warranty is included on the item, free. You have to register but the price of a stamp for the card is sooooo worth it.

Overall Rating : 10
For the money, this amp is incredible. Yes, it does lack reverb but buy a pedal ! I really can't fault the clean sounds and that is what matters most with an amp for me, I always have the trusty Marshall for dirt. I bought this amp to take to University (Couldn't fit the marshall in the car) and will love whiling away valueable essay writing time playing through this amp. Frankly I am amazed at how an amp this good can go so unnoticed, especially for the money.

two channels, tube emulation circuitry (that works), simple responsive settings, sturdy, attractive vintage design.

excellent clean , and just the right amount of edge when required. thw two 10" speakers handle the very loud and cutting 30 wats very easily.

A rock solid amp, just teh right size for rehearsal and performance in small venues.

Customer Support : No Opinion
no need.

Overall Rating : 8
a great amp for the dollar; look at fenders or marshall combos with similar features anbd specs and you pay at least two or three hundred dollars more.
the BC30/210 is a bare bones amp, no reverb or speaker out jack but it doe sthe job, gets you the sound you want.
