This is a Fender Blues Junior Amp that was converted into an 18-watt Marshall poweramp with a Plexi tone stack. The controls are Volume, Master Volume, Treble, Middle, Bass, Presence. It also has a boost switch and one external speaker jack. I'm planning to use it for small gigs and recording. I've got it fitted with JJ Tubes and a Weber Ceramic 1230-55 (equivalent to a Celestion G12H-30).
Sound Quality

I'm playing my American Standard Strat with Seymour Duncan Antiquity pickups through it and it sounds incredible. The sound is very much like a Marshall Plexi without the extreme volume. It sounds great from cleanish (ala Little Wing) to heavy distortion. My pedals work well with the amp as well. I couldn't be happier about the sound quality.

It's brand new so I can't say, but the point-to-point circuit board looks very cleanly put together.

I love to crank this amp! This amp nails Zeppelin & Hendrix which is the style amp I wanted. It's new to me so I'm still anxiously reveling in it's magic. It's great for crunchy blues and rock. I use my guitar volume for going from reasonably clean to full clip/breakup. I play Les Pauls into it which sound amazing. I has a great vintage vibe!

This was a very solid and clean build. I've only owned a short time so I can't attest to any long term use. I will be gigging with this amp as my primary. Steven backs his products with a lifetime warranty for if I ever have any problems.

Steven answers my emails promptly. I've talked with him by phone & in person. He's a stand up guy who's great at what he does. Like other reviews...I too have no reservations about contacting him.

The stock Blues Junior is a good amp. A Blues Junior converted to a Marshall Plexi by S2 makes for a superb boutique amp!
Steven did a wonderful job with this amp...so good that I will definitely be getting another in the future.
It hangs with a drum set no problem. It's simply a great amp built by a great builder.
