Replica of the old fender super narrow panel. 2 Inputs on both a bright and normal channel. Each channel has volume and there are master bass treble and presence controls. Rated at 30-35 watts and its plenty loud for all but large gigs where it would be mic'ed. This amp has only what it needs to which is perfect for me. Less is more. The amp is perfect for blues and rock, and I also run my acoustic through it.

Tested with Les Paul and Strat style guitars and sounded amazing with both. Runs almost dead quiet unless completely cranked up. Again it's awesome for blues and blues rock which is most of what I play through it. I was surprised how nice my acoustic sounded through it. I like this amp much better than a marshall as100d acoustic amp i'd been using. The sweet spot on this thing is incredible. The break up is perfect in my opinion. A Singing and sweet tube overdrive. Definitely what I've been looking for all along.

Seems to be built very well. It's all hand wired and put together by Steve. Haven't had it long but it has a nice warranty on it.

Steve has a very fair warranty and will make sure you're 100% happy with the amp. I had a problem when I first got the amp with one of the inputs and a little bit of tube rattle. Steve took care of everything right away and was very friendly and generous. I got a top quality affordable amp with the best customer service I've ever had from a business.

Im very happy I bought this amp from Steve. Top quality work and service. If stolen I'd have him make a new one. I love the tone and simplicity in this and most old fender amps. Definitely recommend trying an SDG amp, escpecially the super.

SDG model 5F4, tweed cabinet, 4 inputs, just like the narrow panel Super. I gig with it and it has plenty of power for what I do. It has two Weber 10A125's.

I play teles through it, the G&L Asat is my favorite. Clean/crunch really depends on what guitar and pickups. Definitely quiet enough to record with, it just works. I never run it past about 5 or 6 for volume, sound is a subjective thing, but this amp sure works for me.

Had it about 3 months and played it a lot, don't see a problem. From a layman's point of view it seems to be very well built, and the wiring definitely looks like it was done by a pro.

I looked into a lot of the tweed repros and found Steve's to be priced reasonably, with superior parts (Mercury Magnetics transformers). I don't know electronics, but this amp looks, feels and sounds luxurious. When I play I there's nothing to concentrate on but playing, I couldn't always say that, but when the gear and tone is right your rig shouldn't hold you back. This one works!

This is a beautiful reproduction of a vintage Fender Tweed Super circa 1959. The 10 rating for its features is based on looking at this amp from the point of view of somone purchasing it in 1959. The amp is single channel with four inputs set in pairs. Controls included are volume for each pair of inputs, treble, bass and presence. Switches: standby, on/off and a nonfuntional ground. The amp has a three prong power cord so the ground switch is included for cosmetic purposes. A lovely solid pine cabinet houses Mercury Magnetics transformers, 2 Weber 10" speakers; 1 10a125a Alnico and 1 10f150 Ceramic, personally recomended by Weber for this amp. TAD 6L6gcTubes, RCA Rectifier, JJ 12ax7's, GE 12AY7.

This amp is simply amazing. Notes seem to jump out at you and hang in the air. They have a shimmer and presence that is almost unbelievable. Add in a little reverb or delay and feel the hair on the back of your neck and arms stand up. Keep it under six and the amp is clean as a whistle, turn up more for the richest Fender style power tube clipping you'll ever hear. This amp sings like a nightengale and stings like a hornet. I've always used a bunch of ambient effects on my other amps to get an approximation of the presence that this amp provides by itself. I can play it without any echo, reverb or delay and it is completely satisfying by itself. The word lush, comes to mind. Repeatedly.

This thing is built like a tank. It looks like it could take abuse all day. The build quality is superb and only the best components were used. Although it will be residing mostly in my studio, I would not hesitate to take it on a gig without a backup.

I bought this amp directly from the builder. He even installed the Gerald Weber 'line out from the extra speaker jack' mod right on the spot and didn't charge me extra. He offers a fair warranty for the price paid. 1 year failure warranty (tubes excluded) lifetime workmanship warranty. Steve (the builder) is the easiest person to deal with. Kind, generous and friendly.

When I was seventeen I had a 1963 Tremolux head and cab. It sounded incredible and I was too young and stupid to realized what I had. Needless to say that I've always wished that I had that amp back. I am now happy again since I got my SDG Super. I've been playing for more than 35 years and I know what good amp tone is and how rarely I've heard it. Before purchasing this amp I tried out everything I could find from Traynor to Vox to every Mesa and Fender (including their "Reissues") that I could put my hands on, for about a month and nothing came even close to this magnificent amp. If it were lost or stolen, I would not hesitate to buy another. If you love real tone, just the way it was long ago and don't need five gain stages, effects inserts and more knobs and switches than a 747, this is the amp for you.
