Country, Classic Rock
Single Channel, basic amp. It is what it is and that is how it has to be viewed.
Home use. 5 watts and louder than expected all tube do it your self kit with 12ax7, 5y3 rectifier, and 6v6 output tubes. Got the master volume and tone options.

Sound Quality : 8
Fender MIJ Tele and Peavey Odyssey. Sounds great with the tele. Very warm sounding and feels great. The Peavey pushes the tubes much harder and starts distorting pretty quick in humbucking mode. In single coil mode it is very strat sounding and remains clean until you get around 75% of volume range. Master volume helps in pushing the amp even with the tele but if you set it right it has pretty good head room.

Reliability : 8
It is a hand wired basic admp so there is not a lot to go wrong with it. Since I built it I should be able to fix it. All parts were very good quality although the out put jack provided was not the correct type and one resistor supplied was not to specs provided in manual. Can't recommend gigging without a backup no matter what kind of amp you have.

Customer Support : 7
Overall my experience with STF was good. Pat usually answered my emails within 24-48 hours although I did have to email him twice a couple of times before receiving a response.

Overall Rating : 9
Been playing about 26 years though not professionally. Now just for fun and this has been a fun experience as my first build. Really helps to understand how an amp works by building it yourself. This has become my favorite amp to play through.
If it were lost or stolen I would definetely build it again. It just sounds great.
