I have the old, old, old version of this amp. The non-reverb version. All the rest seems the same. One of the most basic amps I've ever played, but thats why I bought it. I use it for recording ideas, and jamming/song writing in my apartment, and it does this well. As an actual amp for this size, and what i want to do with it... bare minimum.

Sound Quality : No Opinion
This amp has the worst (non-existant) gain of all time. When I turn the gain on full, and use a distortion pedal (my fav. through this amp is a NYC big muff) it gives it a smooth sound, which i guess is a plus. again, i didnt buy this amp to sound amazing, or be powerful. I play Laney VH100R all-tube head and a mesa 4X12 rect cab for those situations. This amp, in combination with my usa strat ultra with emgs gives an awesome, smooth distorted, hardcore sound. It also sounds good with the neck pickup of my les paul. The recording I've done with it hasnt been amazing of course, but suprisingly good considering i bought this amp for 40 bucks with tax. For its price, and size class, i'd give this amp a 7. compared to real amps.. like, a 3... and thats with good guitars and dist. pedal.

Reliability : 8
Hasnt broken. No need to depend on it, but it feels a lot sturdier than the small fenders (with those crappy input jacks that always break and buzz!). If it does break, who the hell cares... i'll use it as a doorstop.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Bah... according to them, and everyone I've talked to, this amp doesnt exist.

Overall Rating : 9
Fantastic value? Yes. Fantastic amp...? no... better hauling around this 5 pound amp than my 180+ pound half stack. I was honestly impressed with this amp for its size... by putting it under desks, etc (hard to explain) i can get good deep, resonant sounds.. cheap, but records okay. Buy this amp if you can find it for less than 50 canadian, and u want something light.

This amp has nothing great, the two usual channels (clean and overdrive), and equalizer (low, mid, high), and a volume control (duh).

Sound Quality : 1
I've only played this amp with two guitars, a Squier Fat Strat (s/s/h) and a Squier Affinity Strat (s/s/s). Both of which are great guitars (in my opinion) and unfortunatley, both of which sounded like crap through this amp. The clean channel is ALRIGHT, nothing great, it's pretty bad if you turn the amp up past anything above 5. And the overdrive.....GOOD LORD!! Can you find an amp with worse crunch?! The distortion has no warmth or lower end. THE SOUND SUCKS!

Reliability : 1
I would never play a gig with this amp whatsoever, let alone play it without a backup! It's broken down at least three times, and now I don't even know why I bother to have it fixed!

Customer Support : 10
I've never dealt with the company itself, and I can't imagine what someone who makes amps like this one would be like. Although the guys at my local guitar shop (Jensen Music, hell yea!!) are great, so I'll give this a good score.

Overall Rating : 1
This amp sucks ass. I was foolish enough to buy it years ago only because I knew jack shit about guitars/amps/otherthings. Please....don't waste your money and time with this little piece of junk......just don't. Save up a little more money, and go buy yourself a Crate GFX-15.

basics + reverb + od button, wish the od button could be foot controlled

Sound Quality : 8
I use 2 custom humbuckers on a fender sunn mustang guitar and it sounds very bright. reverb is particularly good for a 10 watter.
never saw such a good reverb on such a small amp.
reverb is though too sensitive. the 1-10 knob is more like a on/off button. clean = clean for this machine. the OD channel is not a real channel but more of a high input preset like in many small amps

Reliability : 7
looks quite reliable. amp is well protected, except for the back, it's a very fragile looking open back. this could be improved.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never dealt with Samick

Overall Rating : 8
Tried it with single/single/humbucker (yamaha pacifica) and double humbucker (custom) and I was (and still am) very happy with the sound.
Especially the price/quality rate makes this amp a good one.
The cream colored finish and silverface front makes it look like a vintage amp

I don't know when it was made and I hope it won't be made ever again. I had it for a year and I hated it. It's got an OD button and reverb. Three-band EQ and visually pure shite. It could be bigger and better in all ways!

Sound Quality : 1
I used it with a Samick guitar (don't know any specs, it was a Strat model). Back then I wasn't a good player so I can't say I had a music style. The amp is quite noisy, on all settings, it's capable of simply nothing. The OD sound is shite, and the clean sound too artificial. The reverb is bad too, and the EQ doesn't even shape the sound: on all settings, this amp sucks bad. The distortion is the lamest ever.

Reliability : 3
I trust it about as far I can throw it. I would NEVER use it on gigs, and I wouldn't use it as a training amp anymore. I didn't break down but I wish it had. It's more fun broken.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I will never speak to anyone selling Samick products.

Overall Rating : 1
I've been playing for four years now, and I had this amp about two years ago. if it was stolen, I would definetily laugh my ass off at the guy stupid enough to steal it. If I ever get kids, I will never despoil their joy of playing by giving them this piece of shit. Compared to any amp out there, this is the worst of all. There is nothing about this thing I wouldn't hate. A word of warning: under any circumstances, even if you're really poor, don't buy this amp!! It's better to work your ass off sparing money for ten years to buy a decent amp than to use this poor excuse for an amp.

15W, has a overdrive button and reverb control
can't complain about what it appears to offer
bought his in a guitar/amp package.

Sound Quality : 1
noisy as hell, overdrive stinks, got so sick and tired of hearing the sound it makes that i want to throw it out of the window.
EQ shapes the sound by oh so very little.
when overdrive is on, the volume can't be controled very well.

Reliability : No Opinion
who cares, i hope it breaks.

somone can support me in getting a new amp

great as a amp for beginners, but hell, even my computer speakers do a better job than this.

Nothing extraodanry here - Reverb works well, But threeband EQ does not provide sufficent shaping. Has really strange 'not quite cascading' gain system. Overdrive from this amp is unusable. Don't even consider buying it w/out a pedal. Some interesting effects can be acheived by changing the balance between the 'power' and 'preamp' sections of the amp.

Sound Quality : 3
I've played all sorts of pickups through this - Samick, Seymour Duncan, Fender, but I still can't really get a sound I like out of it... I play something between hardrock/punk/grunge...(not metal)Well, it's a transistor amp. So it clips like one. It tends to give quite a bit of that annoying 50hz hum, but then that could just be my cables. The amp tries to be all-round, but the fact is it doesn't do any one thing particularly well...the clean channel only breaks up if your pickups are putting out HEAPS of output (my seymour duncan did this). Distortion from this amp isn't 'brutal' ... just really cheesy sounding and gutless. somewhere between fuzz and overdrive.

Reliability : 9
Well, it's pretty tough at least. Dropped it, kicked it, (i move between houses one a week). Had no problems as far as reliablity is concerned.

Customer Support : 7
Never dealt with samick - Don't want to. The fact that they don't even have a web prescence is a little offputting.

Overall Rating : 4
I've been playing 3-4 years... I own Statocaster w/assorted pickups (lol) BOSS-DS1 distortion pedal and not much else... like to keep my rig simple. If it were stolen/lost I'd get the insurance money and never dream of buying it again. I 'choose' this amp because it came as a package with my first guitar... and it was cheap.
I wish the gain was differently configured - MUCH more, and footswitchable gain would be really useful.

It's very good. Logical, it's not make to apresentation, because it's small and 25 Watts PMPO. But i use this in my house. This has Control LOW,MID,HIGH to guitar, REVERB Nivel, Volume, and Overdrive with controls of LEVEL and MASTER. Inputs: Line and Headphone. The control bottons are very big. I think that can be small, but, it's very cool.

Sound Quality : 9
Well, i like very much this sound that it's brings to me. The REVERB is very cool and the OVERDRIVE is very good,it's looks like a VALVE overdrive but with the VOLUME and MASTER and LEVEL control in MAX.

Reliability : 9
It's cool, very nice mini-COMBO.
