Product year:...1994 (or there about: there's a stamp on the reverb unit that says 1994)
Solid state amp
Got this amp second hand togehter with a 1984 Tokai ST40 (stratocaster copy)
Inputs: high and low
controls: level-gain-master volume (gain is only active when overdrive button is on)
Threeband equalizer (high-mid-low) and reverb
Line out - input jack for footswitch (overdrive on or off) - headphones out
This amp is very good for home practice or rehearsals, sound nice both on low levels and loud.

This is indeed a very versatile amp, I've been able to get all kinds of sounds out this amp: anything from total clean, soft bluesey distortion to heavy metal: this amp does it all!
Also the tone controls has a very wide range which makes it possible to finetune the sound exactly to one's liking. fat bottom? no problem! flat bottom + in-ypur-face mids? no problem! this amp follows you anywhere you wanna go.
Only reason i don't give this amp a 10 is that I'm not really into solid state amps, however this little amp surprised me.

no idea! but since this amp is more than 10 years old i guess it's ok reliable.

I've been playing for 25+ years, have a lot of experience with different amps (but like I said I'm more into tube amps.
I play stratocasters, and this amp works very good with them...and I'm sure it'll be great with gibson style guitars as well
For it's price this is a great practice amp.

I don't know the year this amp was made, but i know i bought it in December 2005.
This amp is not versatile at all, it's clean channel is decent at best, and the drive switch has a harsh distortion.
I play anything from blues to metal, and im afraid this amp can't cope with those styles.
The LA30R comes with only one channel, with a drive switch, and an effects loop and a headphone jack.
I wish it had more than one channel, and that it was louder...for 30 watts, it can't even compete with my 15 watt fender amp.
I use this amp as a practice amp at my house, i run a Zoom G2 through it, and that cleans up the sound a bit (Great multi effects pedal by the way)
Its a 30 watt solid state practice amp, and for the price, you could get ALOT better

I play with a Squire Strat, with stock pickups *blah i know* and a Samick Torino with seymour duncans.
It doesn't suit my style as i have said. It sounds quite bland on the drive, and it starts to sound unbareable past 4 o clock on the gain switch. The noise....oh the noise.
The clean channel is distorted around 3 to 4 o clock, with my treble on 7 mids at 4 and bass at 7.
The distortion is anything but brutal, its generic. It can't get any artist sound if thats what you are looking for, and it just blows in any respect.

Well, it is dependable i suppose, not that i have done much to endanger it.
Use this at a gig? Hahaha, right. No way.
No the amp hasn't broke down, but theres no need for it to, it sucks enough anyway, it might as well be broken down all the time.

I have been playing for a year and a half now. I own a fender frontman 15G, and despite its bad rep, i would rather play on it than this.
If it were stolen or lost, i wouldn't care too much, simply because i got this as a gift. I wouldn't buy this, i would buy a fender blues junior amp, but sadly i have no money as of yet...
I don't love anything about it, but i do have alot of hate in store for it.
Beginners, please don't make the mistake of buying this amp. Greg Bernett makes decent guitars...*except for the torino of course...* but the amps blow...badly. Go get a fender or marshall...or hell, anything else besides this thing.

I use a Fender Strat, Gibson Epiphone and a Les Paul Custom but not in this amp. It sound nice clean with a good mellow sound but mine just does'nt have any balls. No volume, for 30 watts it's should be pretty loud but it's not, my fender 25watt blows it away on 2. No joke it really does. And the overdrive is bloody shocking, it's sounds absolutley horrible, first of all on 10 it's like any other overdrive on 1, no crunch no nothing, shit. And secondly it's crap.

I got secound hand, maybe it was still broken when I bought it, I looked inside and some of the components have been replaced, the mosfettes and some capacitors. When it was fixed I think they must have used cheap components because it kept on overheating and skipping. I enlarged the hit sink, to almost twice the size and that seems to have worked but it's still not worth it. I really can't say even though mines never worked properly because I did buy it second hand and I know someone else has fixed it so it might not be accurate.

Iv'e been playing for 3 and half years and Iv'e used lots of amps and this one is a piece of shit. I use fender amps and the moment and they shit on this thing, admittely they are more expensive in the first place but I still wouldn't recomend this amp to anyone even Ia beginner.

Good amp for practice, pretty good sound but if you want good distortion buy a pedal for it because in-built overdrive could sound better.
