Don't know what year this one was made but it was made in Indonesia. Now, if you are gonna compare this amp to a Marshall Stack or something like that, forget it. But for a little 10 watt practice amp it is pretty damn awesome for the money. It is very versatile. It has a drive control knob for the gain, push button overdrive, level which is the volume and then base and treble. I guess it is two channel. Has a little 6.5 inch speaker but it still handles the humbuckers on my Les Paul quite nicely. I use this amp in the living room because that is the closest room to my neighbors and I wanted something that I could mess around without a lot of volume (I hate headphones) so I would not disturb them. However this little bugger can get quite loud. It also has a headphone jack and CD input.

Well, I have two guitars. One is an Epiphone Les Paul Standard with two humbuckers and the other is a Fender Standard Stratocaster (MIM). Suits my music style which is basically blues and blues rock with occasional metal moods just fine. This amp is great for blues with a strat and paul and the can do some good metal too, as long as you are not looking for thrash metal or something like Creed. But for stuff like Zeppelin, Hendrix, Blue Oyster Cult and Stevie Ray, it does just fine. Good variety of sounds and very simple to operate. The clean channel on mine does distort at high volumes a bit, but it actually comes out as kind of a cool Keith Richards type crunch, so I kind of like it. The distortion is pretty damn good although as I said, this is not a thrash metal amp.

Never dealt with Samick, but hey, this is about a $45 amp. Would cost more than the amp costed to send it for repair.

Been playing about 30 years, also have a Marshall G30CDR as well as a VOX Pathfinder 15. I would buy another one if it were stolen or lost because it suits its purpose quite well. Compared to the Marshall 10 watter and the Ibanez 10 watter I liked this one better for the clean channel.

I've been playing guitar for only one year, and this was my first and only amp, I bought it 'cause of the price (it cost me about US$40), and cause it has a lot of distortion to be such an small amp. I've play mostly metal music, and i've no complain about it, but when it come to clean or classical music, it definetly sucks. Since i don't use to play clean music to often it's not really a problem, but if you are into clan and sweet music, it's not what're you looking for.
With 2 gain switches and a nice equalizer (not that nice) it worth the money.

i've been playing it with a Lefty Standar Strat, and recently with a Boss ME-33, and it rules, the ME distortion it's no enough, this litle thing can do the rest to do that heavy metal saoun you're after, like any other amp with distortion, yeh it has a lot of noise, but distortion noise, if you play it with out the gain in the top, it saouns pretty much decent.
For a metal starter like myself it's just the right tool to star makin' noise.

it's trustful enough, i has been kick, and hit many times, and it's still sounds as the first day (besides i bought it used)
I guess that if i had the money a would buy some powerful stuff, like a Marshall or a Crate. But still it's very reliabible

i've been playing it for around a year, it's the only amp taht a own, but I don't regret have buy this one, anyway if it was stolen i will buy some heavier stuff (of course not as cheap) like a Marshall or some other powerfull amp.I love the distortion and the bass regulator. I choose it 'cause the price, but a love it for the gain, i wish it has two channels, but for this price com'on, you'll have to spend some more.

This is a very reliable amp I really play ny kinds of music snd this does great with all of them. This amp comes with a headphone jack and the distortion is amazing. I wish this amp had a little more wattage and I use all the faetures. I belong to a band and somtimes it's just not loud enough.

I also use a Samick guitar and it works great with amp. It suits all music styles in opinion. This amp appears to be loud in enclosed spaces like a basement, but not half as loud in a gym. You con control the bass and treble sounds, but it also can distort sounds. The channels are pretty clean when it's up all the way and the distortion is perfect, but the amp is only 26 watts.

You can always depend on this amp but no matter what amp I would always have a backup. This amplifier has never given me any problems what so ever.

I've been playing about 2 years. If it was stolen I would most likely get another just because I need a louder one. Love: everything, Hate:nothing. Wish I had a Wah Wah pedal.

This amp is good for speed metal. Have 2 gain controls, and make a very versatile overdrive tone (that's analog.., it seems that the amp don't have a switch to change channel (great wrong from samick)

Sound is good for you can get from 70's hard rock to a 90's Sepultura's Death metal sound, passing for the thrash Metal crunchy sound and Iron Maiden's heavy overdrive. Recommendaded for metal guitar players. 12 WATTS OF POWER METAL!!!!!!! But have a great problem... The clean sound sucks!! His volume is to low (at Master control in 10). More gain distorted.

I prefere use this amp before the amps of my school! But in gig, i prefere go to the console directly, cause the power of my amp is very little. Never broke. I trust in it everytime.

Good for metal. Never decept me. Always when i used don't give me troubles. I buy it again, again and again. I don't know if it's for you, but i knows that's what i love. It's like the Randall to Dimebage Darrel, the Crate to Dave Mustaine or the Marshall to Jimmi Hendrix!!!!
