Made in 1969, single channel, 2 input....16 watts...volume, tone, tremelo....i wish it had reverb

Sound Quality : 9
until i borrow the neighbor kid's squier strat, i am playing my 1967 Guild F-212 with a Dean Markley Pro Mag soundhole pickup though it...I play swampy, roots blues, rags, and hollers, and it suits me just fine....dimed out it gets a little edge to it....i will be trying out this rig with my '81 TS-9 Tube Screamer later tonight....we'll see what it does then!

Reliability : No Opinion
it's probably not powerful enough to play at a gig....but we'll see

I don't think sears does amps anymore

I've been playing for about 45 years...right now i've only got my Guild F-212, a '60s DelVecchio resonator, and this little honey....in the past I've owned a Silvertone 2x12, an Ampeg B-15 flip-top, and a Traynor YBA-1A Bass Master with an 18-inch folded horn and 2 8-inch midranges (for which i would happily commit a variety of crimes to have again), and a Gibson GA-19 Falcon (which i would buy again in a second!)...a silvertone f-hole acoustic 6-strong, a hagstrom F-12S, an Ovation Deluxe Balladeer, a 1973 Fender Telecaster Deluxe, and a Univox 'Lectra bass....if it were stolen, i'd save up more money and get a vintage Traynor, Gibson, or Ampeg...but for right now, this little p.o.s. Sears amp suits me just fine

2 inputs, controls fer volume, tone, trem depth and speed, an 8" alnico housed in "vintage?" particle board w/ a 2Xax7s, a EL84, and a 6X4 rectifier. What else do you need? Doesn't matter 'cuz this ain't got it.
On the plus side, it's got a great screaming circuit & stout transformer. On the minus end, there's some circuit board & almost all the wiring gauge should be upgraded. Tiny wire wiring!

Sound Quality : 9
Holy Shemoly! Other peeps had told me that EL84 single tube champy style amps didn't cut it. Don't believe it. This thing rages. Xlnt recording amp, i'd love to have it mic'ed with some reverb Super creamy grind at less than insane volumes.

Reliability : 9
It's about 40 yrs old and works perfectly. You should be so lucky!

no one is home at sears' amp dept. (except in the Twilight Zone). Same level of support as with Gibson or Fender, but you spent less than a tenth for same level of crappy treatment.

Overall Rating : 10
Madre de dios! It rips. Best amp I've played for the price! Easy. Better than a F&*$%r champ? You bet, and at a way-easy price

Tremolo, 10 watts or less tube amp, 8" speaker. Maybe late 60's vintage.

Sound Quality : 9
This has a new Weber Signature alnico 8" speaker. Nice throaty roar at top volume. Low volume not as clean as a Fender vibrochamp. Tremolo changes the tone a little (more clipped) but has wide range and strong. Tele on bridge pickup is pretty cool for vintage rock and blues tone. Since I paid $5 for this (add $50.00 for Weber) I'm impressed.

Ugly stump of an amp with peeling plastic control panel. Shreds many a competitor and holds its' own against a VibroChamp.
