A low five for a great amp.. I mean, it was made in the 50s, so no frills! For the yanks out there (and everyone who has never heard of these great British amps) think Fender Princeton ... two inputs one tone control (that's the on/off switch too), about 5 or 10 watts (class A) and two small eliptical celestions. Does everything it should, but nothing fancy.

An easy ten. Just beautiful... one of those great, crystal clear 50s amps. I play slide blues on a 50s reissue strat, and it's a marriage made in heaven. this amp just sounds wonderful... not nearly as bright as you'd imagine, just perfect. (I played a Les Paul through it, and it wasn't as good.. it complements the sparkly glassy quality of single coils) It isn't loud, but that's what my JTM 50 is for.

It's an ancient tube amp, for home and some studio work. I'd never trust it to gig with, but it's been reliable so far.
