Here's an addition to my Sewell Wampus Cat 15 combo amp, which came with a Weber California 15" speaker. Please read my review of the amp, as this is for the extension cabinet. I wanted to add some Alnico flavor to the mix, so the guys at Sewell built me something original...a 12"/10" combo extension cabinet!! Its loaded with a Weber P10DS (an Alnico speaker designed for Doug Sewell and this amp) and a Celestion G12 BLUE, both 16ohms wired in parallel. The cabinet is solid pine and top quality...fingerjointed, tight, and slick looking! It matches my amp perfectly in the elephant gray tolex with oxblood grillcloth.

I use a 56 Strat, McInturffs, and G&L's. The Wampus Cat is an amazing amp with tone and versatility that are hard to match. The mix of Ceramic and Alnico, as well as having a 15", 12" and 10" all pushin' air...the tonal pallete is complex and refreshing...tight, responsive, clean, clear, glassy, and full of character. The bass is driving without being mushy, and the highs are bright without being shrill or harsh. I've found the ultimate set-up, the holy grail of amps!

Everything about the Sewell spells quality! Its built with the best components, by people who care...something that can only be achieved on a small scale by a custom company like Sewell. I've had NO complaints, and no problems whatsoever...this thing is built like a tank!

I've talked extensively with Doug Sewell and Big Cookie...they are always available and more than friendly. They answer emails fast, and are open to questions and new ideas....as well as some custom requests...these guys can't be beat!

Overall I rate the Sewell Wampus Cat 15 amp and 12/10 extension cab a perfect 10!! There is nothing I would change, add, or take away! I didn't think I could be this happy with an amp, especially after the relationship I've made with my 65 BF Pro Reverb...but the Sewell is the be-all, end-all....it is my holy grail of amps! The price is very reasonable for such a quality, custom piece of work...there are a lot of new boutique amp makers these days...but what makes the Sewell different?? ITS BETTER!!!
