It's a '99, 100 watt 2 channel tube amp, it's versatile enough for me (bluesy/hard rock/alternative). It has an effects loop (I never use it- I don't use any effects, other than an occassional wah wah pedal). I just plug in and go.... and does this baby go!! My main guitar in a Wolfgang Special... I get sustain for days. I play the clubs locally in So. Cal. and guitarists come up during our sets, to see what pedals I'm using... all that's there is my boss tuner and the wah wah... I've never gotten more compliments on my tone!

The clean channel can break up nicely when pushed. The "dirty" channel is gold.

Never broken down... and any questions I've had ... The Soldano crew has answer quickly via e-mail. I have no fear of this amp letting me down.

I've been playing 25 yrs, I've owned more marshall's then I would like to admit... some would sound great one night, and the next like s**t... If it was lost or stolen... I'd buy it again.

A very versatile amp (Blues, Top40, Hard rock). Two channels selectable via footswitch. It has an effects loop, separate volume and gain controls for each channel and shared treble, bass, mid, and prescence. Tubes are 4 5881's and 5 ax7a's.

I play mostly pop rock/blues/roots, but occasionally hard rock, and this amp delivers on all shores. Very quiet on the clean channel and a little noise on the high gain channel. With the gain at 8 on both channels, the clean channel is like an old Marshall, and the gain channel is like a Boogie. This amp has a lot of character, and harmonic overtones on both channels. The gain channel sounds like a boogie, but even better because notes ring clearer even though it has more gain. The clean channel is beautiful sounding, very clean if you back off the volume on the guitar, and a nice vintage sounding overdrive with the guitar full throttle. I have mostly been using a PRS Custom 10 top with a Duncan JB and Duncan Antiquity, as well as a Lone star strat. The cabinet is a Fender Tone-Master 2 12" with celestion 80's.

The only thing I wish it had is reverb, otherwise this is it.
