it's probably a 1969, it's got slider controls instead of knobs.2 channels, one with reverb. I play loud and stupid so it's the perfect amp for me.

Sound Quality : 8
I've got 20 guitars, mostly junk, but there isn't one that sounds bad thru this amp, of course humbucker pickups are less noisey than single coils. The breakup is perfect- it starts at 3 and progressively gets gnarlier until at 10 you just gotta hang on for the ride.If anything, the amp is trebly but you can cut it back with the treble control-DUH!

Reliability : 9
I've owned it for a year, haven't done any maintenance, beat the living daylights out of it every chance I get and it keeps on crankin'. I wouldn't be surprised if any amp beat on like this would blow up but hey, it ain't happened yet.

Customer Support : 1
I can't even find a schematic for it. There is no customer support.

Overall Rating : 8
I've been playing since I was 10 so that makes 37 years I've been messing with guitars and amps.I've owned old Fender amps, old Kay amps, old Magnatone amps etc etc. They all have their own personality. The Sound City doesn't want to be a studio amp or a jazz amp, it wants to rock hard or play loud psychedelic blues.I'd buy every one I found for under $400.
