This is a 1994 Sovtek 4X12 cab with 4X12 run of the mill Eminence.
12 inch 8 ohm 30 Oz magnet? (12-BR-8-30) is stamped on the drivers.
Yep, no frills 4X12. Matched up with my Mig-60 its a great combo. All the hardware is plastic but a trip to your guitar tech and replace the handles, they flex and feel cheap.

No casters but I put rubber wheels, about $40 worth of casters with locking breaks. works well.

Sound? Thundering bass that shakes your pant legs? yes the MDF back and sides and top are thick and kill sound and does not rattle under heavy volume levels. It appear the sides are 2 inches thick. This is my first 4x12. I am very happy with the tone. I play "classic rock" and the cab is packing the bass that I never knew I had access to! Gawd dang I love this thing, but its my first 4X12 so I think once you get over the 2x12 hump and understand it does not take much more room and the sound is HUGE compared to a 2x12 you might never go back!

Reliability : 10
I am really happy about this cab. Im giving it a 10/10 because the build quality looks very well, after 15+ years the glue and craftsmenship is flawless.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I never use support now days. Try calling M-audio or anything for your car and they appear to only want your personal information and have next to ~ZERO~ knowledge about the product so not used support in years.

A telephone call to "New Sensor" in Queens, NY may help. They distributed the Sovtek line. 1-800-633-5477 but I dont see why its important. Call Ibanez about their 1994 stuff and they will say "huh" ?? "WTF" ?? So legacy is legacy get your soldering kit out and STFU... By the way the wire inside looks pretty thick and good after 15 years.

Over all I love this thing! If any one as close as even scratched it I would FLIP THE HELL OUT on them. The drivers are old but not locked up from the high humidity. The cover is perfect, the cab is DEAD silent, the craftsmanship is very good the speakers are cheap ***. Anything other then that is pointless because what sounds better a $25 speaker or some vintage 30's or Webber's or greenbacks at $100 each??? Do the math folks this is the cheap black Eminence "special driver" same as ALL fender amps use some "special off the wall POS however it sounds ok, not flabby. clean sparkling highs, thundering bass. Gawd dang I love this thing.. I'm ordering 4x12 Vintage 30's but that will cost quite a bit compared the stock Eminence. Yeah like any Sovtek gear I have already 6 offers to buy it from me because the Sovtek no frills high quality built like a tank eat your kids, kick the dog mad nasty product. Its money in the bank with a matching head and cab, sounds cool also!
Take a look!

Well as far as 4x12 quads go, it's pretty versatile - it just has mono 8 Ohm inputs

Sound Quality : 1
Absolute trash!

I bought mine back in 1997, i was so excited that i had my first 4x12 quad & did the mortal sin that allot of guitarists do, think that speakers don't matter

Well after a while i realised that it just wasn't doing the goods - i tried a fair few quads out & checked out a fair range of speakers & ended up getting a Marshall 1960AV with vintage 30's - it blew this quad away!

Reliability : 10
Although it was made from cheap partical board, the quad sure took a beating -the metal grill got battered but still protected those lame eminence speakers & the tolex ripped off pretty easily (I just kept sticking black gaffa tape on the exposed bits)

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 5
Well if your desperate it might do the job - but if you've tried allot of cabs out you will more than likely laugh at it

4 BR-12-8 Eminence Speakers, removable casters, fabric grill, tolex covering, 8ohm, SOLID

Sound Quality : 10
Sounds great, lots of low end, sparkling highs. The BR-12s are really kind of all around speakers it seems, they don't really do alot to color the sound. Can be good, can be bad. You won't get the British tone. No Greenbacks here, just sounds like 12" speakers.

Great cab for Metal and Rock. I love it, seems to do everything very well.

Reliability : 8
Built very tough. Opening it up you can see parts are hand built. The sides and back are MDF, don't smack it with a hammer and you will be fine. High end car audio guys use MDF for their subwoofer boxes, because it is strong, kills vibrations and it quiet.

The front baffle is plywood, and screwed to the outer. The speakers are rear mounted to this, so all service is made from opening the back. The carrying handles are steel, not plastic.

This is a well made cabinet, It can take a beating.

I give it an 8, just because if you were to hit it hard, in the wrong spot, say a hammer or dropping it on a rock, you could break the MDF.

I've dealt with New Sensor (the company that owns Sovtek) and they are about the most helpful folks you could run into.

Overall Rating : 10
Great cabinet. They are kinda rare it seems, if you have a Sovtek head and some other cab, you MUST buy it if you find it. Nothing is better than a matching head and cab. I've own the head/Cab combo for about 5 years and nothing but happiness.

Well its a 4x12 cab, not a whole lot of features. It is 8ohms which is fine cuz the Sovtek Mig-100 has an 8ohm output on it. Im pretty sure its an earlier 90's amp cuz i cant find anyone who sells these things anymore. It has 50watt eminence speakers in it, i believe (but not completely sure) GB-12's. It gives a very warm crunchy tone, its not as tight or glassy sounding as a marshall 1960A cab but it has more low end to it. I use it for everything, i use it for practice and punk shows.

Sound Quality : 10
It handles anything you put through it. Never had any problems with If i want to play drop D with all lows on my amp the cab sounds great. I can play anything i really want to through this lovely thing. Blues or jazzy stuff sound smooth and well rounded. It looks great too, its not a cheap looking cab. It doesnt get muddy nor does it get to harsh on high treble settings. I guess thats why they put 50 watters in it.

Reliability : 9
This thing is like any other sovtek piece of equipment. Its built to withstand a nuclear war. Ive dropped it down a flight of stairs and it didnt damage it at all, i think there is a scuff mark on the tolex somewhere but it didnt tear or crack.(not of purpose, it slipped cuz its not exactly light and we were sweaty and tired from playing a show and well you know it happened, sorry.)

Customer Support : No Opinion
New sensor has been great, ive emailed them with questions and they have always responded within 24 hours. As for finding something directly Sovtek, nope cant find anything.

Overall Rating : 10
Ive been playing for 5 years now, my friends who also play have a peavey supreme, randall RG-100, and all of us have tried marshalls. They all think the set up i have sounds amazing and wish they could find something like it. wouldnt sell it for anything, if it was stolen id have to hunt the guy down and beat him with a stick cuz i'd have a hell of a time finding another one
