2008 in white tolex. Essentially 2 channels but channel 2 has OD1 and OD2 which are really not discernibly different. Usual eq plus presence and resonance for the power tube section. Awful effects loop - does not take rack effects well. Extremely loud amp but the volume taper is terrible - goes from silent to deafening with nothing in between. Can drop the power from 100w to 50w but the tone changes dramatically compared with my Engl SE670.

Sound Quality : 3
I use Suhr Moderns with Aldrich pickups and Ibanez J-Customs with DiMarzios and play rock/metal mainly but like to dabble in other styles such as jazz and country. Contrary to popular belief this is not a metal amp, it can handle 80s rock stuff pretty well but forget trying any nu-metal stuff.

I bought this untried as I'd heard the clips on the web and loved Killswitch Engage's tones on As Daylight Dies.

This is amp is very noisy particularly on channel 2.

I really struggled to get any decent tone out of this amp. Like the user before, practising on my own at home, the sound was half-decent but as soon as I tried playing with the band it sounded like ass. The eq is terrible - it doesn't matter how you dial it, the bass gets too much and you lose any gain and definition.

I really annoyed the other members in the band cos I literally spent 4 hours of rehearsal trying to dial in a decent tone and in the end just gave up.

The clean channel is clean but nothing to write home about (certainly compared with say the Cobra or Herbert's clean).

The distortion is terrible. I would really like to know how KSE got their tone although when I saw them live they were using Mesas so maybe they struggled with the Nitro as well.

Reliability : 8
Never had a reliability issue with this amp and gigged with it twice without a backup. I think these amps are very well made.

Customer Support : 7
Customer Support is pretty good. I did contact Splawn asking if there were any settings they could provide to try and dial in a decent tone but they didn't really come back with anything.

Overall Rating : 4
Been playing guitar for 30 years and gigging for 22 years. I own a Framus Cobra and an Engl SE670. If the Nitro were stolen I would take the insurance money and buy another Engl or maybe a Mesa Mk V.

The Nitro looks great particularly in different coloured tolexes, but the tones are truly terrible.

I bought this on eBay untried and fortunately managed to sell it for what I paid for it. I also bought the Cobra untried and it still blows me away.

2009 Splawn Nitro. Sounds great for all styles if you can operate your guitars volume and set the amp up to do what it's made to do.

Sound Quality : 8
I've got a '74 SG standard stock, an '88 Telecaster and a custom Strat. This amp blasts full throttle or dials down to a nice rock clean sound. If you can't get a good tone out of this buy an amp without gain and use a pedal. I don't know how anyone can complain about this amp.

Reliability : No Opinion
New amp, not sure.

Haven't needed support.

35 years of playing and recording using 75 different guitars and 25 different amps. This thing does what it was made to do. All the 10's I see on here are people that want to feel good about there purchases. This amp kicks tail.

I give it an 8 on features alone because it had plenty for me but that will be the end of anything good I have to say about this 2000 dollar crate.

Sound Quality : 1
I've been playing over 20 years and this was by far the worst 2 grand I've ever spent. I tried everything with this amp- different speakers, tubes, guitars, (overdrive pedals because the gain sucked ***) the eq section is absolutely worthless on this thing , its impossible to dial out the flubby recto like bass which is one of the most annoying sounds on the planet for me. The amp isnt horrible in a room by yourself and at first I thought I was going to be able to work with this thing, but all that changed when I took it to practice!! The more I turned it up the gain went down and the bass went up, I felt like I was playing thru an old bass amp with a ****** overdrive pedal. I've owned hotrodded 800's and this thing is nowhere near them in anyway. After about a month of disbelief and every guitar, tube, and speaker configuration that I own the nitro was up for auction and to top it off I lost about 600 bucks on this turd box and went back to the old reliable mark iv short head which will eat the splawn for lunch and ask for seconds on any and all levels. Here is a list of gear that was unsuccessfully used w/ the nitro.

Guitars- Gibson SG Standard/emg 81
carvin tele/bareknuckle miracle man
84 flying v/ dirty fingers
Cabs- Randall 4x12XLT
Marshall 1960a
Speakers- vintage 30s EVM12L greenbacks g1275 eminence legends and texas heats
Power tubes-jj,tungsol,mullard, boogie,tad, gold lion
preamp tubes- jj,mesa sp, tung sol,

My Nitro was purchased new from Splawnville in October 2008. I was playing a Mesa DR until I bought the Nitro. I use the Nitro to play in a cover band ( Tool, Godsmack, Disturbed, AIC, Pearl Jam.... i.e Modern rock from 90's to present ).

The amp has two channels. The small three button footswitch does everything you need.

The Nitro has an OD1/OD2 function that I really have never used. The OD2 does not cause a big difference in tone. It either needs improved or removed altogether in my opinion.

I wish it had built in reverb so I did not have to use the fx loop.

The one issue that I have struggled with on the Nitro is the volume taper. This amp is so loud at 9oclock on the master volume that you can have trouble playing club gigs with the amp. Scott has addressed this in 2009 models by installing a loop volume.

The amp was meant to be played loud. If the volume taper was less abrasive and the OD1/OD2 function was better I would give this a 10 even though it is no Mesa Roadking. This is a meat and potatoes plug and play amp.

Sound Quality : 10
I use an LP custom, PRS Singlecut and EB Musicman mostly. The amp suits my style of modern music very well. Not muddy at all like the Mesa DR. The amp can get a bit noisy if you dime the gain but that is to be expected. I use an ISP decimator with it but it really is just the nature of any high gain amp.

The amp has good clean tones. Again, better than my Mesa DR that I used for 8 years. The Nitro is easy to get a lead tone out of also.

The distortion and low end is not as brutal as a Mesa DR. I at first missed the sound of the DR but with all that mud I just could not go back to the DR. After playing the Nitro for 4 months I did plug my DR back in one day and realized that I can never, ever go back to a DR. They sound great but I have outgrown that sound and the Nitro delivers everything I need.

Reliability : No Opinion
Amp has not had any issues but it is only 6 months old. I will not rate it yet but I have not heard horror stories about Splawn amps in general.

Customer Support : 10
Scott Splawn is a great businessman. Even if you hate the mid happy sounds of his amps you would still be hard pressed to say anything negative about how he runs his business and takes care of his customers.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for 25 years. I play mostly LPs.

I would replace my Nitro as fast as I could if it were stolen.

I do dislike the volume taper.

This amp sounds great with certain speakers ! Be warned that you will be better off with a Splawn cab than a mesa cab.

100+ watt tube head based on (from what I can gather) a JCM800 2210. 2 channels.

I've played numerous 800's and owned a late 80's single channel 800 and though the nitro shares a similar core tone, that's where the similarities end.

The controls (as mentioned in other reviews) are straight forward, simple, no bells and whistles or switches or fancy junk to get in the way or confuse you. Standard Bass, Trebel, mid, Gain, volume and a volume boost knob (solo boost). New to the nitro though is the resonance knob which, as someone on the HC amp forum noted: "That's probably a potentiometer on the negative feedback signal in low settings, it lowers the resistance, than it increases the power amp headroom, making it tighter and cleaner when you turn it up, this should deliver more low end and the power amp gets saggy and distorted."

This pretty much sums up most likely what it technically does but in layman's terms, it's a bold/spongy knob (similar to the switch found on mesa's.) A very useful control.

The clean channel is much better than any marshall clean from the 800 series (or newer). Punchy, loud, fat and has good headroom to stay clean or get crunchy. Lack of midrange knob really doesn't detract from the clean channel as the bass and trebel knobs both seem to alter the amount of mids in the signal.

Despite the over abundance of 80's shred and hair metal user clips on youtube, the amp covers a wide genere of music fairly well, though it does do the whole hard rock/metal thing best. I use the amp for heavy modern rock and it dominates.

Good effects loop, though I see people want to complain about it not being tube buffered, that doesn't stop it from being clean, transparent and better sounding that many other tube buffered loops I've used.

The one feature I wish it had was independent gain controls for overdrive 1 and 2. That way, I could have a low gain setting for OD1 and then a high gain OD2. It just seems logical to me unless it would be too much of a hassle to design the preamp in this manner.

It's not a huge deal but in my opinion, it's what separates a 9 from a 10 rating here. I use an Eden Analog Austin overdrive in front of the amp to handle all the low gain and supplemental boosting duties.

Sound Quality : 10
I've modded my Nitro to use KT88's and it's hands down the best decision I've ever made for this amp. Simply solder a a 47K 1/2 watt resistor piggy backed onto resistor R30 (located right next to the blue bias pot) and set the bias with the KT's to around 50~52 mA.

Compared to playing the Nitro with about 4 different sets of EL34's, the overall tone is not changed. What did change though was that the low end got bigger, bolder, tighter, cleaner and both channels have more clean headroom than before. When playing at stage volume, the amp is a little clearer and punchier with just an overall bigger sound to the notes.

As I said though, if you're worried that you'll lose that "EL34 tone" don't be. The tone will remain the same.

For a 100+ watt high gain tube amp, it's fairly quiet if you've got good preamp tubes. Cheap preamp tubes = lots of noise. It's not totally silent though. It's not Diezel or VHT quiet but it's a lot quieter than my Carvin V3 was.

The amp's overall sound is like a JCM800 on steroids. It's not the most saturated amp but it's one of the hardest hitting amps. It's notes are very powerful and cutting. Our singer has a Mesa stiletto trident and a Dual rectifier and the nitro straight up buries both of these on stage. Not as much gain as the Mesas but more power in the sound.

As mentioned in the features section, I use an eden austin overdrive to give me supplimetal saturation to the gain. It works really well. The amp has a good quantity of gain but when you need that extra bit of saturation in the sound, that's what the boost does.

The quality of tone is leaps and bounds better than any of the JCM's (or any other marshalls made after the JCM800's for that matter).

I've used this amp with at least 20 cabs in stores and at friends' houses and after trying every top dollar and low dollar cab around (with the exception of the Mills acoustic cab), I found that the more vintage oriented cabs like the marshalls with greenbacks or H30's sounded much better than the more "high fi" cabs like the Mesas and Diezels.

The amp just doesn't jive well with V30's. Don't know what it is but they just don't do it for me.

Anyways, after trying countless cabs, I ended up just going with a splawn 4X12 and am using a pair of earcandy green machine speakers with a pair of 100 watt Scumback H75-LHDC's. It offers a bigger bolder, tighter low end than the other cabs I tried, a richer and more organic midrange and a smoother glassier high end.

This amp is a solid 10 with it comes to tone. With EL34's, I'd give it an 8~9.

Reliability : 10
I've had the amp open when installing the resistor for the KT88 mod and it's perfection to the letter inside. From the Massive Heyboer transformers to the over-spec'd JJ's Electrolytic capacitors, perfect solder joints, heat shrink tubing everywhere and neatly zip tied cables, I've go no doubt that this amp was built with the intention to never have to go back to Scott.

He's too busy building amps so why not just build them well enough that you don't have to fix them? Sounds logical to me.

I've gigged with the nitro 2 nights a week and practice with my band another 2 nights a week for the last 5 months and it hasn't skipped a beat.

That being said, I still believe in Murphy's law "If anything can go wrong, it eventually will". And though I haven't had to fall back on it, I usually keep my crate V3112T combo on hand if anything WERE to go wrong with the Nitro.

Again, solid 10 here.

Customer Support : 10
Scott is a busy guy... he runs a business by himself with a very limited staff. With that being understood, he doesn't have the free time or the man power to have someone standing by the phone or email every minute of the day to immediately respond to any questions.

It shouldn't be hard to comprehend.

I've sent numerous emails to scott regarding having a custom head shell and cab built and he's typically gotten back to me within a couple of days.

He also helped me when I was doing the KT88 mod when he just as easily could have told me to come out of pocket $$ and just send it to him.

His annual splawn conventions allow anyone to play prototype amps, watch technicians build amps/cabs and browse the workshops. Very cool.

Per the rating description, his incredibly kind and helpful service deserves a 10 rating.

Overall Rating : 10
This is hands down one of the best amps I've ever heard in my life, let alone owned.

It's not the most tonally diverse amp out here but when the core tone is so good to begin with, you don't miss the extra channels, midi, voicing switches and all other bells and whistles some other amps come with.

It's just a straight and to the point heavy rock oriented marshall voiced amp that offers gratuitous amounts of power, punch and decibel output.

I've played it side by side with our rythem guitar player's Diezel Einstein and though it's voice is vastly different, it easily stands toe to toe with it as far as cleanliness and professional polished tone. It would take a Herbert to out muscle it on stage though.

The thing is built like a tank, hits as hard as one and in my opinion, defines what a quality professional heavy rock tone should be. Scott has taken a legendary Marshall voice in the 2210 and made it something much much more ruthless yet more refined and polished. His amps in general are (again my opinion) the hard rock marshall tone brought to perfection...something I'm convinced Marshall themselves will never do. Their glory days are over. The independant marshall clone builders like Scott, Mako, Wizard, Roccaforte, FJA, Mojave etc. have taken over the market.

At around $1600 used, the Nitro was a steal. No it's not cheap but compared to the $2000+ competitors and considering you can find Quickrods or Superstocks for under $1500, and the fact that it's priced at the same level as current production Marshalls that don't sound as good.

I would compare it to the Quickrod as it's more or less a QR with less upper midrange bark and more lower midrange and low end grind and growl.

Great 2 channel amp. Loop works fine. I do play out and I get more compliments on my tone since going all Splawn.

Sound Quality : 10
Don't know why anyone dogs this amp unless they were looking for something else tonally. I have owned a few other high gainers and had a few modded also. This is my favorite amp that I have owned. Tons of gain and saturation. Ton for days. Great mix between the old school Marshall crunch and the newer beefier metal tones of today. The KT88 mod is a must.

Reliability : 10
No issues. If I had an issue, Scott Splawn is always very helpful.

Scott Splawn is the best! I have yet to encounter better customer service. He walked me through the KT88 mod, biasing and even helped me wire up my Patchmate 8 that I bought from him. Great, great guy who makes some amazing gear.

As for features, the Nitro has all that you will need to get quite a variety of tones. Independent clean and high-gain channels with footswitchable (footswitch included) overdrive 1 & 2 and solo boost. Clean channel has bass, treble, volume and gain controlls. High-gain channel has resonance, presence, bass, treble, mid, solo boost volume, volume and gain. The Nitro also has an effects loop, full and half power switch and ohms selector on back. The amp is quite versatile but is most definately geared toward metal.

Sound Quality : 10
I use Rico Jr. Guitars with a variety of Duncan pick-ups. My favorite pick-up at this time is a Dimebucker, however, I will soon try a set of Duncan Blackout actives as I have heard that they work very well with the Nitro. I play in a christian metal band and we gig 2 or 3 times a month. The Nitro has tons of low end that stays focused and intact even with the bass and resonance dimed at near deafening volumes. The gain channel has plenty of saturation, clear highs and strong enough mids. I currently have a set of JJ KT77's in the amp with Shuguang pre's. To sum up the tone, I would say the Nitro is dark yet defined and extremely tight. The most balanced high-gain amp I have owned or played. Oh yeah, the clean channel is awesome. To my ear it has a piano-like clarity with the gain below noon, after that you can squeeze out some nice blues grit etc..

Reliability : 10
I have owned a Quickrod, Pro-Mod, and now the Nitro. I have another Nitro on order. I have never had ANY problem with ANY of my Splawn amps other than tube failure. If you own a tube amp you will eventually have to replace tubes. I totally trust the quality of Splawn Amps and yes I have gigged without a backup many times. Scott Splawn and the crew at Splawn Amps build extremely high quality products.

Customer Support : 10
I have dealt with several of the guys from Splawn over the phone and they are awesome!!! The best customer support bar none. Very helpful, very informative and very friendly. Never had to have an amp repaired but I can say, without a doubt, that Splawn stands behind their products. Quality customer service is becoming a thing of the past in today's society but not with these guys. If you give them a call they will gladly talk amps with you and help in any way possible. God bless all of the guys at Splawn Amplification.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing guitar for 18 yrs. (I am not that great at guitar but I know tone and quality). My band has a CD out with all of the guitar work done on a Splawn Pro-Mod and now I can't wait to record with the Nitro. I have owned a Fender Twin, Mesa Tremoverb, Bogner XTC, Framus Cobra, Bad Cat, Guytron... well, there's too many to list. The Nitro is my favorite amp of all for what I play. The Framus was close but not well-built or reliable. I have ordered a second Nitro so that both guitars in my band will have the thunder. In my opinion the Nitro lacks nothing except a lifetime wupply of free tubes!! Check out splawnguitars.com and the splawn fans forum which is accessible from splawns website.

2008 model Splawn Nitro. KT77 tubes, plexi style head, black with white piping. Very versatile for the styles I play, mostly hard rock and metal. The controls are simple, but are very responsive to changing the overall tone of the amp.

2 channels footswitchable, OD1 and OD2 voicings and solo mode also on the footswitch. No footswitchable FX loop, however there is a button on the back to bypass it, and one for line level or pro level audio devices. The only feature I wish it had would be a footswitchable loop.

I use this amp mainly for recording, practice, and jamming with a band. This amp has more than enough power for any mix, it reminds me of an old Marshall with the volume this amp can put out. At it's heart, this is a touring head, and meant for stage volumes. That's where it sounds it's best, and where it shines. If you need to tame it a bit, it does have a half power switch to knock it down to 50W.

Another great feature of these amps is the custom cosmetics. You aren't paying extra for any of it, you order the amp exactly how you want it to look, and it's built custom just for you.

Sound Quality : 10
This amp sounds fantastic, bottom line. I use this with several guitars, 7 strings and 6 strings, active and passive pickups. This amp suits my styles very well, I like to play a lot of modern and old school metal, and this amp delivers. It has some Marshall flavor to it, but it's definitely it's own beast, with it's own Splawn voicing. It's high gain tone is saturated and cutting, while still retaining an organic quality to the sound. It makes other high gain amps I have owned/own sound "plastic" comparitively, for lack of a better word. It's raw, aggressive, and outright brutal. What it doesn't have is that processed sound you hear in a lot of other high gain amps. This can be a plus or minus depending what you are looking for. If you are looking for that fizzy high gain metalzone sound, this isn't the amp for you.

If you try to rely on previous Splawn amps to dial in the EQ, I could see someone being disappointed. It's much different from my Quickrod EQ. You really do have to let your ears dial this amp in, and pay no attention to where you would "normally" set the EQ from previous amps.
Even with the simple looking EQ, it's not as simple as it appears. The resonance, gain and presence really affect where you dial in the rest of the EQ. I don't understand how someone could say the resonance does nothing, that seems like one of the most important controls on the amp in my opinion.

I don't think a day is long enough to learn how to use this amp either, or any amp for that matter. It's the result of inexperience in my opinion. There are a lot of tones to be had in this amp, but you have to take the time to learn how the EQ interacts. If hard rock to modern metal is your goal, this amp will deliver.

As far as unwanted noise, this amp is one of the quietest high gainers I've ever used. It's built with all high quality parts and craftsmanship, and that goes a long way toward keeping extraneous noise to a minimum. You can tell this isn't a run of the mill production amp with cheap parts the moment you crank it up.

The new clean channel on these amps is really a pleasant surprise. I was very impressed with it, I like a nice chimey bright clean, but you can also dial it in warmer if you prefer. The added gain control for the clean channel really allows you to dial a lot of versatility with it.

The main feature of this amp is the gain channel however, and it's a beast. The lowend will shake your house foundation, and palm mutes kick you in the chest like a mule. It's got an enormous and punchy lowend, and can get out of control if you don't dial it in. That's actually something I love about it though, riding that fine line of controllability with devastating bottom. Leads just scream on this thing too, dynamic and cutting. It's very articulate, saturated, and tight, even with the huge lowend. This amp will make you a better player, it will not hide anything, but the payoff is incredible.

Reliability : 10
Built like a tank, everything a boutique hand made amp should be. If tubes produced today had the reliability of the past, you would never need a backup with this amp. Chassis mounted pots, tube sockets, switches, jacks, flying leads, heyboer transformers, and a thick PCB with high quality components. Everything about it screams quality.

Customer Support : 10
Scott is very friendly, and easy to get in touch with. I haven't had any issues with either of my Splawn amps, so all I've ever done was ask questions about different tube types and speakers. He has responded quickly to any questions I have had however. I've talked to people that did have problems however, and he was helpful and quick to resolve their issues. If you don't get a response right away in email, it's possible he didn't get it because of the spam he receives, so he tells you to call if it's important. These amps have a lifetime warranty on everything except tubes and trannys, and he stands behind his products.

Overall Rating : 9
I've been playing guitar for almost 7 years, and played bass and piano for many years before picking up guitar. I'm fortunate to have the financial ability to try out a lot of high end equipment. I've owned most of the popular high gain heads available on the market today, and this amp rates in the top for me.

If it were lost or stolen, I would get another without a doubt. I might try KT88 next time, just for curiosity's sake, however there really isn't a need for more lowend on these amps.

There isn't really anything I hate about this amp, I would prefer a footswithable FX loop, and maybe a mids control on the clean channel, but that's about it. The sound more than makes up for that though. I absolutely love it's raw aggression and saturation, while still keeping tight and articulate without that "processed" sound that's become too familiar to me. Well done Mr. Splawn.

Midi would be nice, but rjm will make me a cable,Effects loop is either on or off,via a button on back, but not footswitchable.

Sound is everything the videos show and more!No tricks,No Gimmicks, this amp is a raw, powerful, very articulate, crushing machine. Its everything I wanted it to be,and everything it was advertised as.It reminds me of a Marshall's growl and a VHT Pitbull accuracy combined.(just a description). It has incredible response to stop n go riffs.No...its not van halen or some 80's amp,Very aggressive, heavy bottom end,but controllable. The clean channel is crystal clear, you can add overdrive to it by the gain channel.I was a lil concerned after some reviews, but I just do not get it,those reviews are inaccurate, those folks must have been looking for a different type of amp.No its not a fizzy, fuzzy, distortion. If you want that buy something else. The sustain on lead or rhythm chords is excellent.Hit the solo button and the leads just scream to be played, with clear sonic bliss.I put a delay in the loop, being thats all I run in the loop,Excellent,no problem added a lil boost when engaged, but did NOT color the tone or lose head room.

This amp lives up to what I expected of it.I wanted a second amp to blend with my Diezel Herbert,No not better,Different. It has such a defined sound, and was worth all of what I paid, and waited for.Its everything I wanted my Marshall JVM to be and never was.The marshall was noisey and had no bottom end. This amp is quiet and tremendous low end,yet has the marshall type growl that I was after.I look at a lot of amps before I bought this, played many, but yet bought this souley on the clip of Scott playin it in his shop, that video blew me away!Yes,it sounds just like that and even better in person.

Black tolex and chassis, white knobs. For an amp made in 2008, this model has minimal features. The earlier reviews that blindly praise this amp and give it a "10" on features come from the loyal Splawn fanatics, so please put it into perspective. In reality, this amp doesn't have any more features (and sometimes less features) that high gain amps that were made 20-30 years ago.

Seriously, this amp SEVERELY LACKS features. For starters, it has a very sterile and cold sounding effects loop that colors tone. It's stuck in the dark ages with its solid state technology and not tube buffered, which could be OK...just not on a $2000 amplifier. It only has a clean and OD channel, an OD 1 and 2 that there's not much difference in, and a solo boost which is nothing more than another volume knob for soloing. It doesn't even have a Mid knob for the clean channel. A "10" on features? Give me a break. Accurately rate an amp, don't blindly praise it. Anyone who would gie this amp a "10" on features obviously is biased, all things considered, and I wouldn't put any stock into a word they said. For FEATURES on amps in the same price range, like a Mesa Roadster, ENGL, Marshall JVM, etc...it's like a dinosaur.

The tone of the amp is typical Splawn. Yes, it is a tight and focused amp. But much like the Quickrod, it comes at the expense of dynamics and ends up sterile. The overdrive is a one-trick pony. It sounds almost identical to the Quickrod, just tweaked slightly. Instead of making an entirely new amp, it's like Splawn decided to slightly revoice the Quickrod and give it a new name.

If you notice, the chassis has the same amount of knobs as the Quickrod too. They couldn't even be bothered to have a new chassis created for the "new" amp. Instead, they just fit as much as they could into the existing framework, which is probably another reason for it's lack of features. Instead of putting the time in to design a brand new amp to appeal to a broader base, it's just a tweaked version of the same thing they've been pushing for over 10 years. Isn't it time for something new already?

The Resonance knob is worthless. Ask even the loyal Splawn fanatics and they will probably tell you that they find one particular setting for it and never move it. Pushed one way, it continues to compress your tone even more than it already is. Pushed the other way it adds more low end to your signal. So, it's a waste of a knob.

The low end in the amp is too much. This is supposed to be a guitar amplifier, not a bass amp. It's almost impossible to dial out the low end to reasonable levels. The controls are akin to a Marshall and have very minimal effect on the tone overall. So, you either like the tone or you don't. There's not much versatility, so you can't shape it much.

Seems well built and I don't think anyone would have issues out of the norm with it.

Customer Support : 4
I give them a 5. They're great and provide feedback, when they actually respond that is. I ordered through a dealer and received mine relatively quick, but I've seen plenty of others saying that people who ordered after them were already receiving amps. They don't seem very organized with keeping track of orders or filling them based on when they were received. I've only called once and I got assistance, but I only received a response to 1 of the 4 e-mails I've sent them since I first ordered. If you want a higher customer service score, you need to respond to ALL e-mails, not pick and choose.

Overall Rating : 4
Well built, tight and focused amp. But, a one-trick pony that sounds like a tweaked version of a Quickrod. Hardly no features, too much low end. For the price tag, there are many more amps you can buy that offer more versatility and options.
