2008 single channel 15W dual EL84 combo amp with only 5 knobs (volume, bass, treble, master and reverb). A single 12" custom Celestion is housed in a small Tolex-covered pine cabinet that is extremely resonant. What more does anyone need?

This is the perfect small club amp! It has amazing cleans and can get really dirty by simply playing with the volume and master knobs. Very few amps do both so amazingly. The bass and treble are interactive and offer a full range of EQ, albeit it at some fairly extreme dial settings. The amp likes both single coils and humbuckers, provided the bass and treble settings are adjusted accordingly. Reverb is lush and gets out of the way This is the best sounding amp I've ever played ... period.

Too soon to tell. Can you really assign a numerical rating for reliability to a new amp that hasn't broken yet? It does seem very well built, though.

Mark Sampson is great to deal with. He isn't super responsive on emails; however, I've always gotten answers to emails and even return phone calls.

I've had so many amps over the years, and I can honestly say that this is the best amp I've ever had the pleasure of owning and using. I'd replace it in a minute. I also own the baby brother 5W Star Nova, which I use for rehearsals.
