This amp was made in 2006, it has 2 channels, 2 el34's, and an effects loop on the clean channel only. This is 30 watts of class A warmth. I use this amp gigging and at church. This is an extremely versatile amp. I have owned 3 very high end boutique amps since buying this amp and my Star killed them all!

This amp is amazingly versatile! It has the best 3D, swirly clean channel I have ever heard. I have come to realize that once you have a good clean sound you can do almost anything with this amp. The 2nd channel is brutally mean and yet smooth. I have had more compliments on my lead tone with this amp than any other amp. I usually play this amp with my Gibson Custom SG with '57 pickups. It also sounds great with single coils. I have trouble picking witch I like better, Single coils or Humbuckers. Needless to say this amp is amazing!!

I have a friend who bought a used Star amp and had to call Mark Sampson over at Star because his amp wasn't working properly. He dropped the amp off with Mark and had it back in just a couple of days. It not only was fixed but he had sowed back in the handle. A minor detail but it goes to show that Mark Sampson really stands behind this product. I know that if anything where to happen to my amp I am confident I would get excellent service.

I have been playing guitar for 15 years now and have owned Diezel's, Matchless, Vintage Fenders, Fargens, Soultone, Cornford, and Mesa Boogies and this amp blows anything I have ever owned or played. I would definitely buy it again if it where lost or stolen. If you are serious about you tone you need to try this amp!!
