Stone Age Custom Cabinets 212A

Custom guitar cabinet made by hand by 1 guy. Large 2 x 12 semi open back witgh Weber Bluedog 50 watt speakers. See the website for more details. I play blues, classic rock and some harder stuff. I tested this cabinet using a Mesa Rectoverb 50 watt head w/EL34's in a store. You can have the cab totally customized to your specs right down to the piping. You can order the cab empty, or have any speaker combo you wish.

Simply amazing. The rectoverb isn't even my favorite amp, and I've owned and played most of them i.e. Soldano, Bogner, Two Rock, Guytron Fender, Marshall etc... I must first say that the Rectoverb sounded harsh and grainy through the mesa 2 x 12 w/ V30's. I plugged it in to the Stone Age and it was magic. The amp was transformed into a fantastic sounding amp. Sweet cleans, and smooth and tight overdrive. I tested another Stone Age cab with a closed back, and Weber's version of the V/30's and...wow! It goes to show that the build design and quality have much to do with the sound.

Finger jointed corners, solid and tight. Attention to detail is incredable. I could drop this thing out of a building and it would still work. Wiring is impeccable.

I emailed John, and he returned my email the next day with his phone number. I got to see his shop...the cleanest and most organized shop I have seen. He spent much time showing me options, and I got to test some different cabs. He is great to work with.

I've been playing 12 years, and I have had and played the best. There is something truly special about these cabs. Can't wait to run a Bogner through one of these cabs. Outstanding value, there atre more expensive cabs that don't sound as good as these.
