This amp is made in China for Australian supplier Strauss. Strauss originated in the 60's and 70's and can be heard on many great Aussie albums.
It is a very versatile, although is a straight-up valve amp with Reverb.
But thats what I like as I'm a bit of a purist/traditionalist. It has 2 channels - clean and drive. It is very tweekable and can be dialled in for most rock/blues sounds.

I'm using an Epiphone Les Paul custom with an MI Audio tube zone and MI Audio Crunch box as pedals, I also use a Vox wah pedal. It took some time to dial the pedals in but it was definitely worth it.
I play mostly heavy metal and Rock, this amp doesn't really suit metal but for straight-up rock it's perfect, ie Pearl Jam, Kings of Leon, etc.
The amp makes very little noise when idle or between songs. Very quite for Class 'A'. The clean has enough head room and this is a very loud amp = approx 100watt solid state amp on both drive and clean. It definitely has that warm valve feel. 1 x 12" Celestion speaker.
I'm giving this 10/10 for sound based on it being aimed at Rock/Blues. amp

So far so good. I have been in regular contact with Strauss, not regarding any faults as I haven't experienced any, just building a relationship and getting support as I plan to purchase a couple more in the future. Well build amp.
Shipped about 2000km's....got home plugged it in and Bam!!! Sounds great.

Over all this is hands down the best value for money amp on the market. If you can get over not having a major brand name behind you then you will enjoy a great sound at even better price. I truly hope these amps make a big comeback and become a stayer in the market. They are AUS$900 new, but I have seen them for AUS$799
I only wish that it came in a 2 x 12" combo and/or 50w 2 x 12" combo which I told is certainly in the works! Bring it on!
