This amp is designed by Dennis Krager (quite famous for some custom designed amp) and manufactured in the USA by MOOG. I can???t really predict the age of this amp, it was probably built at the end of ???70???s - the beginning of ???80???s. It is a two channels amp, lead and rhythm, and the channels can be controlled by an external footswitch. Unfortunately there???s no possibility for effects loop. It is probably the only thing that I can say I miss on this amp.
The only thing I could add more to the previous description is that the tube of the amplification part is probably a 6V6, not a 6L6. Mine has a 6P3, but is quite similar with 6V6. Some other thing which is different in my amp is that I have a 12??? speaker inside, but it's quite obvious that the wooden support for the speaker was changed. Somebody replaced it with a 12??? speaker, which was not a bad idea considering that this little amp is very loud for its volume.
Even though on the back of the amp is written 60W I think this is about the consumed power because those transformers can???t really support 60W in tube sound. The real tube power is somewhere around 20-25W in my opinion. But musically it is very loud and the amp has a great presence on the sound.

Sound Quality : 10
I also agree with the previous description. The only thing which is really strange with this amp is that you can play easily death metal with it; I don???t know how much gain provide my Ecc 83 tubes because there's nothing special, but for an amp of this age it???s definitely strange. I also tried this amp on 4x12 and I can say that the sound is amazing. This is definitely not a practice amp. You can gig on it it without any reserves. You can play on this amp very smooth rock music, but also death metal. I was using a Shecter Elite 7 strings guitar, a custom Carvin 7 strings guitar and an Epiphone LP limited edition 7 strings guitar on it. All of them had great sound on this amp. I play some psychedelic rock/metal.

Reliability : No Opinion
I found this amp in a very bad, neglected condition, with a dead output transformer, without any speaker inside, somewhere in a room of a friend of mine. I grabed it immediately but with not too many hopes to repair it. I was really happy that I found a guy from America who helped me a lot. He had the same amp and he was also on electronics. ??? So in the end I repaired this little amp and the result was amazing.

I really tried to find somebody who could tell me any information about this amp, I also tried to contact Sundown Technology, Moog, Gibson, but no any positive results. The only one who really helped me was this guy, Steve Wood. Respect!

I tried a lot of amps from different musical fields and I can say that this amp has something unique. It's quite comfortable for handling because it's quite tiny, it screams a lot and has a really good sound. I think for a quite small price you can get the best??? if you find it ;) .

Designed by Dennis Krager and manufactured in the USA by MOOG.
This is a 3 tubed amp rated at 60 watts so I'm assuming that it has at least some solid state amplification. It appears that there are two 12ax7's and one larger tube that I can't see the numbers on it, but it resembles a 6L6. It comes with a 10" speaker. In the rear of the amp there are speaker, headphones and footswitch 1/4" outs. The front has one input, a Rhythm Volume, Treble, Mid, Bass. A lead/rhythm manual switch is located next to those knobs followed by an Overdrive Volume and Level controls. This amp is most likely from what I've been able to track down a 70's amp. It's a heavy amp for it's size which I will guess is about 17 X 17 X 8" and over 20 pounds. First time I plugged it in I must say I was impressed. It screams, has plenty of volume and is dead silent when at idle. I'll give this amp a 9 in this catagory only because it doesn't have reverb.

This amp is capable of playing a very smooth clean sound which I think is being enhanced by the preamp tubes. The clean channel stays clean until about until about 7 on the dial, which by the way look exactly like 60's Fender dials, and starts taking on a nice clean distortion comparatble to Keith Richards sound on early Rolling Stones albums. When you kick in the overdrive channel, it will go most anywhere you want it to go. Great overdrive sounds that keep definition to the notes and chords ala Led Zep, AC/DC, Skynard, etc. up to really saturated distortion like the 80's metal bands if you move up the Overdrive Volume gain. The one nice thing about this amp is that you can disconnect the speaker because it's plugged into a 1/4" input on the back and plug in a 2/12 cab or a 4/12 cab and really make it sing. I play mostly classic rock and I use mainly Strats. My HM Strat has two humbuckers and it really goes very well with this amp. My single coiled Strat sounds good and reminds of Clapton sounds on Cream. I would not consider this a practice amp only because if you want to get the real sounds it needs to be cranked a bit. Not sure if I'd use this amp if I was playing a jazz club. These amps are very hard to find and if you see one for under a couple hundred bucks I'd grab it.

Reliability : 10
This amp has got to be 30 or more and it's playing great. I'm thinking about trying some different tubes just to see how they sound. I wouldn't hesitate going to a gig with only this amp. It's built like a brick. The speaker in this amp is the original speaker. I'm thinking about trying one of my EV's but I'm hesitating because I just think it sounds great just as it is now.

Haven't had to do anything to this amp but plug it in. I've talked to a local service tech in the area and he told me that anything that Dennis Krager designed and Moog built, you can bet your ass it will be good. I think he's right. He took a look at the amp and was very impressed with the quality components that were installed. He said fixing these babies if they break will be an easy cheap fix. I'm not sure if I'd be able to get much info from any company about this amp. Sundown Technology/Dennis Krager/Moog/Norlin/Gibson all have their hands one way or another with this amp.

I've been playing for over 40 years. I've been in numerous bands over the years. Grew up in the incredible 60's and picked up a guitar in 1964 and never put it down. I've owned and still own a great number of amps. First amp I had was a 1965 Fender Super Reverb NEW !!! I've played every tube amp you can imagine. Got caught up in the 80's doing the hair band tunes, totally SOLID STATE...had to have those 300 watt heads. Anyway, I don't think I'll let this amp go, matter of fact I'm looking for another one right now. My kid heard this amp and told me he wanted to "borrow it"....I'm not stupid, I'd never see it again.
