I have a very old Rocky Sundown Head w/2 speakers, and its in excellent shape. Just trying to figure out what model I have.
The only description I can find on it is the serial number...
8801-23.
Does anyone know which unit this is?

The Tracer is a simple, no frills solid state bass head that packs plenty of punch. It has gain knob and six other knobs for EQ. The EQ ranges from 62.5 Hz to 3000 Hz. The EQ points are very well chosen and give the amp a surprisingly varied amount of tonal options.

Sound Quality : 8
I've always preferred tube amps, but this solid state amp sound very warm and it packs plenty of punch. It's really great for super low end bass as well as more traditional sounds. I've tried it with several bass guitars...from a P Bass to a Gibson EB3 to a Peavey T-40. They all sound great through this head. Being solid state, it is very quiet and easy to record with.

Reliability : 10
This head is super reliable....it's built like a tank and can withstand the rigors of touring. It's been my #1 gigging head for 10 years and I have never had a problem with it.

The company no longer exists, but the owner of Sundown, Dennis Kager, still fixes amps.
