this is a '69 100w sunn head with 4 Electro Harmonix 6550 tubes. It is a bass head, but I use it for guitar. It has four input jacks("bright" 1&2 and "normal" 1&2) and 4 knobs: volume, treble, bass, contour, and also a 5th labled "sharp" that somebody added.

I use a mid eighties fender strat with a EMG single coil in the bridge. I use a '68 2x12 fender cab with upgraded speakers from the original Jensens. On it own this amp is not very loud, and dosen't have much natural overdrive, but there is as much bass as you could want. By itself it will shake my house and with a pedal it gets very loud and aggressive. I've owned and used alot of different overdrives and distortions and I get great classic rock and metal tones. Right now I'm using a basic setup; strat, crybaby, fulltone ultimate octave, boss flanger. The cab you use makes a big difference in tone. When I bought it I tested it through a Vox 1x15 cab and it had a really dark tone. It sounded ALOT like Hendrix at the Isle of Wight. Very close. Infact Hendrix used them(sunn amps)along with his Marshalls for that concert. I hooked it up to the Fender and that brightened it way up. Now I can get a good Band of Gypsies or Van Halen or Robin Trower tones or anything of my own I come up with. With the right pedals(you will need them)you can make any music you want.

If it were lost or stolen i'd probably buy a Marshall or Laney or something, but I would be very mad since this is a peice of history and I have become attached to it. I compared it to a 50w Vox amp and cab and was no contest.
