not too many, the reverb on mine though isn't too strong, i dont know if that is common. high/mid/low volume controls are a bit tough to gauge at lower volume levels, but make a difference when it's cranked up. great gain/master control.

Sound Quality : 6
on my epiphone wildkat, the sound is tremendous. although the gain is not controllable a la minute, both clean and dirty have great tone. very noisy with reverb on, i can't tell the difference in sound, it makes me wonder if my reverb device is working properly, but the amp is in almost mint condition..

Reliability : 8
i have used this amp at several gigs, maybe over 100, and it has traveled with me from la to new york and back again all over, and it hasn't caused me any problems. its never ever broken.

Customer Support : 1
i dont think they would help me, its too old. ive never had to repair it.

Overall Rating : 9
ive been playing guitar for 10 years, 8 of which i have owned this amp. its the only one i own, and most gigs i have it miked, because it doesnt get loud enough, but thats understandable, although the sound is NOT compromised. its extremely portable and light. i like that it's simple and for more intricate sounds i can rely on pedals. i dont like the fact that i'll probably never find one again if mine is lost somehow.

Im not sure what year my amp was made in. This amp is very useful to my punk rock style. it has reverb, gain, master, bass and mute and headphone jack. I do wish it had more dirty sound. It has not to bad distortion but it needs more. This amp has power~!~ Great for club shows and home use.

Sound Quality : 8
This amps power suites my pop/punk rock style. It is very noisy, usually set to gain to 10 and light reverb . Clubs and living room. Well you are limited on sounds it makes i would look into pedals for unique sounds. The distortion isnt very brutal. It could be alot higher, get a distortion pedal.

Reliability : 10
Yes u can depend on this amp. It is built amercian made so its tough. It has never broke down on me.I keep great care of it. I would never take it to a gig without a backup. No amp in this world is made that well.

Ive only been playin for about half a year and i have caught on so quick my band has made a demo tape. I own a Boss Ds-2 distortion pedal. A boss phaser. If it was stolen i would probably by a crate. I love the power. This amp rocks and i highly recommend it to any one who plays pop rock/ classic rock/ blues.

Not too many features to account for on this amp. One channel, 60 watt amplifier. It has a headphone/line out jack and a button to mute the speaker. Three band parametric EQ. Pretty basic. Turn the gain up to ten, and just roll off the volume on the guitar to get a clean sound.

Sound Quality : 9
Sounds pretty good so far. There's not much you can do to shape the sound, which doesn't really matter. The one sound it has is pretty good. It's kind of noisy at high gain, but that noise may disappear with a humbucker. Have not tested this hypothesis yet.

Reliability : 10
I guess if it's lasted this long and still has the original speaker and still sounds great, I'd have to say that it's pretty reliable.

This is a good, solid, loud guitar amplifier. You just plug into it and play without having to mess with it.

60 watt, one 12 inch speaker. I don' know what year it was made in USA, one channel, headphone jack. It can be distorted or kept clean with the master volumer and gain being adjusted. Deep spring driven reverb. No effects-just old fashioned set up that give you clean with a lot of headroom or distortion. Three equalizer knobs work well. I will be using this amp in small clubs because of its power. It is a solid state, which I like. I had plenty of tube amps and in my opinion the sound difference between tube and a good solid state is hard to detect, if any. Such is the case with this Sunn. It is somewhat small, light in weight but it is the mouse that roars compared with other amps. I play blues and classic rock and it handles each with ease.

Sound Quality : 10
I have humbucker and single coil guitars, but prefer humbucker types. They have the power to send a strong signal to this amp. Unless you turn up the gain to ten, the amp is quiet. The distortion gets creamy sounding. It works well with blues and classic rock. The reverb makes it sound like the Ventures if you care to.

Reliability : 10
I bought it because of solid state. In the past, when I had tube amps, I had to bring spare tubes, get regular maintenance and buy tubes when the time was right. No more with solid state. If one listens to solid state amps some sound like sh_t, but some like this one get the right sound. I would use this without a backup. So far dependable. The reverb springs crash if moved when the amp is on but they all do that.

I thought Sunn went out of business but then went into business and is now owned by Fender. I have not had to deal with them.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing since 1963, so have had my share of good and bad amps. In the early 80's I had a Sunn Coliseum and it was so loud and good, but I sold it as it was overkill. I like American made equipment, like this is, so I think it suits me well. It would be a challenge to find another one if stolen, but would get it if necessary. I own several guitars and rotate their playing regularly. So far, there is nothing I don't like about it. I like the deep reverb, the tone which sounds tube like-nice and warm and loud.
