really great amp. Clean and distortion channel with eq and reverb. Has an fx send, a power switch from 50 to 15 watts, and a light indicator to tell if the tubes are bad. 12 in celestion speaker. Built with quality.

Sound Quality : 10
Have used a telecaster, strat, les paul, epiphone, and some no name 60's brand guitars in this amp. The amp really lets the sound of the guitar come through(i.e. strats sound sparkly and spread out, teles sound sharp, and less pauls deliver the bass.) I would recommend this amp for the fender, strat, tele crowd because of its great clean channel. The clean channel is very responsive to your picking and accents. Les pauls sound good also, but not in a marshall bass knocking you down kind of way. More like a peavy or sonic youthy less paul sound.
I have crancked this thing up to 10 on volume and distortion gain channels for anywhere from 1- 15 minutes of noise making playing (usually at shows for some of the noisyer, crazier moments n the songs) and this baby can scream with the best of them, great feedback in the 90's / 60's vein. Could do metal with it, but I would recommend getting a pedal, because the distortion is definitely geared towards rock/indie/60's/jangle/garage styles than bass heavy scooped out sludging. I usually do not keep the amp at these super high levels for too long because it gets REALLY hot. Once I thought I smelled burning components, but it still kept ticking. Thats what I am talking about!
The clean channel is really great on this amp. Takes pedals like a champ. Very dreamy. Good for blues.

I have had this thing for 4 years, takin it on a boat, toured, load unload, rolled it on rocky asphalt, played the guy at ten for long periods of time, knocked it over, stored it with out a dust cover, and so on.....
This guy just keeps on ticking, I probably could do with a retubing since I haven't changed the tubes since I got it!!! Realativly quiet when at high levels, plugged in and muted strings.

havn't had to deal with company yet :",

great amp. In my opinion I would get this amp, a deville, a twin, and a
marshall. This amp because of its versatility and broad range of tones.

Two channels clean and OD, separate eq for both (nice), Preamp out and Power amp in. Effects loop with send and recieve level adjustments for both channels, Reverb, Power output swichable from 4-8-16 Ohms, High and low output power switch helps acheive that cranked tone at lower volume levels, 3 button footswitch switches channels, bypass for effects loop, and on/off for reverb. A whole load of delicious tubes...5 - 12AX7WA's, 2 - 12AX7A's, 1 - 12AT7, 2 - 6L6GC's... !!!!

More than enough power by itself for even a large club, but this amp has no problem running a 4X12 Cab... the model name is misleading, you would thinks its a 50 Watt amp, but its really 70 Watts RMS.

Heavy as Hell... 75LBS!

I play a little of many styles... influences are Gary Hoey, YJM, Metallica, Joe Satriani in that order of importance... strong emphasis on blues.

This amp is capable of most range of clean and distorted sounds... Classic Fender sparking clean that can be as brittle or warm as you like based on eq and guitar volume among other things. Warm Blues to crunchy gain... and EVERYTHING in betweeen.

I play a fender USA Fat Strat Texas Special... the change in tone you can get with the slightest changes on the amp or the guitar is just amazing. At higher volumes the clean breaks up a little, but cleans up nice with your guitar volume knob. The Distortion can be pretty strong, not quite death metal, but a really nice Hard Rock/80's Metal type crunch.

Only makes noise when you tell it to.

Well... have not had it long enough to tell...

Never dealt with Fender yet...

Been playing for about 10 years... use a rocktron intellifex, original crybaby, it all works well together... this is the best amp I have ever had or even played.

No one would dare attempt to steal it (my chateu is protected by rabid wolves with M249s, I will never lose it... but I would buy another should the situation arise.

One day I will buy a 2x12 cab with celestion V30's and then it will be louder.. :)

Considering what I paid for it with only 3 hours of use, it was a hell of a deal... but I wouldn't hesitate to pay $600 or more for a good used one with average time on it.
