While the T50C combo amps were made in the USA, the ext cabs were made in Mexico (at least mine was). Fender's web site states the weight of the ext cab at 50lbs, but to me it is closer to 20-25 lbs - very, very light! In fact, it is so light that yopu have to be careful about putting the T50C on top as it makes it top heavy and prone to tip over should you hit it wrong.
That said, the ext cab is excellent and really hleps the amp project. Still, I've not been able to sue the ext cab in practice as my rig would overpower everybody else. so I keep the cover on the ext cab waiting for the right time to use it.

Cab introduced 2000 by Sunn. This cab has a 75W Celestion GT-75 and has a sealed back closed birch cabinet and weighs 42Lbs. It is 16Ohms and is large for a 1x12 and matches the sunn T50c combo amp. It is 21" high and 24"wide and almost 12" deep on top. The isolated sound is better than multi two speaker 2x12s and almost weighs as much as a two speaker Marshall cab! It is wide enough to put a head on top by itself, unlike smaller 1x12 cabs. It even holds my friends Marshall full size head because the feet are in a little from the amp head.
The nicest thing is that you can set two of these side by side or stack them one on top of the other to create a mini-stack. You can also spread these out along the front of a stage and/or angle some of them upward with a stand. For the price of a 2x12 cab you can get two of these 1x12s,and stack them, spread them out or stick them together and place a large head on top! you can also add one of these onto each side of the stage with a halfstack in the middle. I like the 16 ohms because you can add 4 of these at 4 0hms per amp head and they are compatable with most 16 ohm halfstacks so you dont have ohm mismatches like you do with 8ohm speaker combos. Just think with two amp heads, you can have eight of these speakers spread out along a stage or make 4 mini-stacks two on each side of a stage or stack four to make a halfstack. Very versatile and easy to transport!

I use this with a vintage SG "the SG" walnut body,335 Lucille BB King, and PRS McCarty guitar and it rocks! I usually like classic rock and some acoustic. It has a wide range of frequency response which allows me to play acoustic without any problems. Some like vintage 30s which are ok, but it does the job for all types of music.
I like 30s but was not diappointed with the Gt-75 especially when playing acoustic. If I wanted to, I could always change some of them out later to a 30 which is not a stock option. No regrets though!

This is an ergonomically nice speaker and Ive never had any problems with it. It has a sturdy handle, nice grill and tolex, and when I stack them they look like a small full stack. I use good speaker cable and have had no problems.

I have been a musician for about 42yrs. and I would use these at gigs for portability and they are great to add to any existing equipment such as acoustic amp ext speakers or to any stage rig or pa. I compared these to others but the other 1x12s were dinky little things and Id rather buy two of these for the price of one 2x12 combo. Remember you can split these apart but you cant split a 2x12 combo apart or stack it vertically. At 16 ohms you can add two of these to an 8ohm amp speaker out, but you cant do that with two 8 ohm 1x12s.
I bought this because it was the largest 1x12 I could find to set a head on top. Was 16 Ohms. Easier to carry than a 2x12. was deep enough to set an amp head on top. The only thing I wish it had would be a Vintage 30 option for speakers if I wanted some to sound different. I own eight of these and use them as stacks, 2 with a 50watt sunn combo and two with a JCm 800 marshall head on the left side of the stage and the same set up on the right side of the stage and can run my stereo 335 lucille guitar with the left Marshall and the right Sunn to get an SRV type tone or both Sunns left and right for Bluesy tones or two Marshalls for that AC/DC type of stereo sound.
