Great little amp! 12AX7, 6V6, 5Y3 & probably puts out 5W, baby blue tolex, 2 inputs, footswitchable boost and an on/off/volume knob.
Original Jensen speaker. Cover is in good shape and the screen is near mint.

This amp was given to me by a friend who bought at a yard sale. I play drums, so it was just a bookend for a while. Then a guitar player friend of mine borrowed it, like to have never gotten it back. This amp has been used live, as well as for recording. Live, the amp is much louder than one would expect. The sound quality is amazing. Actually I have had several friends who have borowed it to record their songs, and they have been amazed with it. They have used it with Strats, Les Paul, Tele, Silvertone and a Dan Electro. In all instances it has performed great.

This amp has never falied. However in a live situation would need to use in conjunction with another amp to add some volume.

Very simple. Not a lot to break. Probaly your local music repair shop can handle anything.

In my band's recording and the opinions of guitar players that have heard or used it on their recordings, this amp gives you a great full, nice distortion and overall great sound.

Great little amp! 12AX7, 6V6, 5Y3 & probably puts out 5W, baby blue tolex, made in 1964, 2 inputs, footswitchable boost and an on/off/volume knob. Nice solid cabinet with typical moulded plastic suitcase handle.
Perfect amp to turn all the way up and wail without waking the neighbourhood.
I love it, but not exactly feature rich, so I'd rate it a 7

Mostly play blues with Teles or a P90 equipped Reverend Slingshot. As a practice amp, this is the perfect amp for me - nothing to fiddle with, one great sound, plug in and play. It is a little noisy especially with the boost on but I'm sure it would quieten down if I changed the original 2 prong cord for a grounded one and put in new tubes.
It's a one sound amp but it's a great sound , so I'd rate it a 9

There's really nothing to go wrong. As the other reviewer said, nothing you couldn't fix with a Swiss Army Knife.

Been playing 25 years and get increasing minimalistic in my gear and guitar choices. I love this little amp and would be heart-broken if it were stolen or broken. Before I found this amp, I was already sold on Supros and have a 1957 Comet (15w, tweed box) and a 1960 1690 (30w, 15" Jensen) both are great amps. I was looking for a small, quiet amp that I could just turn to 10 and let rip. I tried the TopHat Portly Cadet which is a very well designed and made amp but had an overdriven tone that I just didn't like. I got rid of the TopHat and then found this baby on eBay a couple of weeks later. When I bought it, it was filthy dirty & the fuse cap was missing but, one trip to Radio Shack, $2 and some 409 cleaner later, I have a great practice amp.
If you see one of these grab it - you'll be happy you did!

Blue Tolex suggests this was made in early '60s. Finger jointed box. Eight inch Jensen speaker. Tube lineup is 5y3, 12ax7 and (1)6V6. Probably 5 watts, and I find this loud enough for playing with friends, without the band, and for practice. On/off/volume switch, and that's it for features. No loops, no jacks, none of that stuff.

I played this with my ES-330 with P-90s and with a custom Strat with Lindy Fralins. It is very quiet at all volumes. One great sound. This is a low-volume practice amp that does the great "distortion at low volume" thing. It has a very direct and sensitive feel to it, very responsive. Great bluesy amp. The 6V6 lives up to its reputation as the smooth power tube. Don't expect the metal-heads to be happy with it because the distortion is not as fritzed out as that.

Totally reliable. I would take it on my next Europe tour, if only I were doing that! This would never break down....it has very few parts in a point to point wiring.

Supro is long out of business, but your sister could fix this with a Swiss army knife.

I've been playing about 30 years, have played and owned other amps like Mesa Boogie, Gibson and Epiphone. You have to love the one great sound from this amp, and in my opinion, it has better sound than the Boogie 50 Caliber. I sold it because I wanted more bass that you get from a 12 inch speaker, and I wanted reverb. And I had too many amps. Now I might buy another one, make it a head and use it with an external speaker cabinet.
