My Tremo Verb was make in 1965. I usually use the amp for practicing at low volume levels. Because if its low power it is quiet enough to play in town house. I no longer play gigs so I just practice and jam for my own enjoyment. I have the most fun playing early heavy metal like Led Zeppelin, through classic blues and am now having fun learning country licks. The amp has volume, tone, foot switchable reverb and teemolo with a speed control. There are 2 regular imputs and a treble input. It has 1 6V6 power, 1 5Y3GT rectifier and 4 12AX7 pre amp tubes. It has a single Jensen C10-R 10" speaker. It has just one channel. It has about 5 watts. This is one of the quietest amps I have had and not very suitable for a gig. I rate it a 10 because it has all the features you could ever expect from a small amp of this vintage and the all work well.

I have two guitars at this time. One is a custom built Tele with All Parts parts. It has a Seymour Duncan humbucker in the bridge position and a Rio Grande at the neck. I also have a custom built Strat with a light swamp ash body and a USA Custom Guitar, rosewood neck with Van Zandt pickups. I usually use the amp for practicing at low volume levels. Because if its low power it is quiet enough to play in my town house. I no longer play gigs so I just practice and jam for my own enjoyment. I have the most fun playing early heavy metal like Led Zeppelin, classic blues and am now having fun learning country licks. The amp is very quiet and with the right pedal, it can produce any sound I want. I use a Dirty Boy (Cannibal Boy), a SansAmp GT2 and an old Boss CE-2 Chorus. At lower volumes it is clean warm and full. Cranked up it has a nice, soft and warm distortion. When pushed with a pedal it can get some amazing sounds.

Being that it is point to point and hand wired, has all the original tubes, caps, resistors and transformer and still works great after 41 years, I would have to give it a 12. Where is the 12 on this thing?

I have been playing off and on since 1964. I also own a rare Supro Big Star, a rare Marshall Studio 15, a Princeton Reverb II and a Marshall Mini Stack. I have owned a Twins Reverb and Deluxe Reverb, both pre CBS, a Marshall Artist, Marshall JCM 800 50 watt, Supro Thunderbolt, a Boogie Mark I and II and more. I compare this amp to other 5 watt amps like the Supro 16T. This amp has reverb and trem that the 16T doesn't and also uses a 10" rather than 8" speaker, which gives it more bass and fullness. Most would like it a little louder or maybe a little more natural distrtion but I like it just fine the way it is. If it were lost or stolen I would replace it if I could find another. Unfortunately they are starting to get $600.00 and more for ones in this condition.

My Les Paul Standard completely overpowers the amp to Led Zeppelin like sounds. My Strat and Tele break up to a bluesy overdrive. This amp is not clean at all for extended chords etc. I think it would be excellent for recording.
