I got this amp sometime in the fall of 08. The versatility of this amp is amazing. There are so many options when tweaking. I use this amp a lot for tracking electric guitars, and the sustain will put you through the roof!! I do use it live, and she stands out above the rest. Definitely a boutique x1000 amp. I did side by side comparisons with a Mxxxx JCM 800, and the "V.M. 50 Triple Stage", and the clarity with the clean and with the gain boosted on the vm50 out-shined the JCM 800.

Sound Quality : 10
The Sound is Amazing, I often spend hours just playing this baby...no joke!
I use 2 guitars with this amp.

1.) gibson sg reissue.
2.) gibson Es335

very very beefy. well its got three different stages.
endless possibilities.

Reliability : 10
Never had a problem with it. It's my main amp

Surreal Amplification have definitely helped me out with everything.
Jerry is a very awesome dude! Well, what can I say he makes my favorite amp!

Overall Rating : 10
Only thing I wish it had is a "roll out sleeping bag" so I could sleep next to it.

Other than that, I'm very very stoked about buying more of these amps in the future.

i bought this amp in 08/08,both its clean and crunch sounds are great.it has multiple tube gain stages adding in tubes stages as you choose. it has one knob called "the tone network" that acts like an amp modeling function with out using anything digital, there was a minor problem with one of the tubes when i got it and it was quickly repaired with out any hastle or charge to me,,,i was also impressed that they let me chose the color and style of the amp. it was nice to get a "Tube" amp that didnt just have one small tube in it so it call it self a tube amp, this is the real thing for a change ,i would definatly by another if i needed it,,,,

Sound Quality : No Opinion
it has a great distortion sound,,, i was suprised to find that i didnt need a bunch of pedels to suppliment the sound..i also found it cool that i could further modify the distortin via a knob and button om the back ,,

Reliability : 10
the amp works great and the one minor problem i had with a tube was quickly ficed at no charge to me,,,,i have had no other problems at all

Customer Support : No Opinion
i was able to contact then directly and they were very nice,,

Overall Rating : 9
i was quite impressed with the price,,i am disabled and on a limited income and i was suprised that i was able to finaly afford a real tube amp,,,i have been playing since the mid 70's and have grown of tired of flat sound of digital modeling where companies try to make their amp sound like the real tube amps of the 60's and 70's,,so it is nice to have the real thing for a change,,,,,
