Synsonics (owned by Mattel the toy company)! Need I say more?

Sound Quality : 3
Used iwth acoustic (with osund hole pick-up), & Fender Strat. Distortion? When you hit hte distortion all you get is more volume. BUT, volume can be good.

Reliability : No Opinion
It works.

Never needed. But wouldn't call if it broke.

Overall Rating : 2
I paid $17.00 used on Ebay, and almost wished I hadn't. This is used by my sons. Luckily, they don't reeally care what the amp sound like, so long as they can play :-)

Suprisingly, this amp sounds okay - not great, or even good, but okay. If it broke I would just chuck it. I actually found this page searching to find out how many ohms it it is, so I could change the speaker to a different 8 inch.

If all you need is something to practice with and amplify your guitar in the bedroom or for a garage band, then this will do for you. If you need something serious, then this isn't it. After all, Synsonics is owned by Mattel, the toy company. Nuff said.

Alright, I just read some pretty scathing reveiws of this amp and I feel the need to give hope to those who may have been given one for christmas or something. It sounds good, of course you have to have ears and a brain to get the most out of it. I've played squier strats les paul copies, and real nice tele's through this thing for five years almost every day. It sounds good on my 4-track and in my ears. The distortion can get pretty good and thick when in the high gain input. and the low input sounds ok for clean rythm stuff.

Reliability : 10
If I can't kill it, I don't know who can. I've knocked this thing down a million times. I got it for Christmas 5 yrs ago, It still works
And as for the wall wart input on the back, That thing bugged me too for awhile, Then I cut off the plug and the jack and just spliced the wires together.

Customer Support : No Opinion
If your the kind of person who needs customer support with your gear, just dont get this thing

I've been playing long enough now to get much nicer stuff and I have, but I still use this amp all the time cause I'm still poor and not famous yet. I'm going to buy another one just like it so I'll have twins. It definitely sounds better than a peavey, but then again, anything sounds better than a peavey. I guess it would be cool if it had a normal power cord with a nice three prong plug, but then it might not sound the same. So I guess if your weird and poor and looking for good cheap recording amp. You could do alot worse for alot more

1 8" can get sorta loud but that's about the only good thing with the amp...has an overdrive button but it sounds just as clean as it does if you dont have it on

Sound Quality : 2
nope.......i like to play harder music....with atleast some distortion

Reliability : 2
it's ok...haven't had it for too long the only thing that pisses me off is that the plug in the back ALWAYS comes out and the plug in thing is way too big ...i take that back what i said at first...the reliability sucks

Overall Rating : 2
Not good......i MIGHT recommend this to a beginner but i know of a lot better amps you could buy with 100$

Not bad-15 Watts-One 8" speaker. Overdrive, 3 band EQ, master volume, volume. Solid state. good volume with overdrive.

Sound Quality : 5
sounds clean with no overdrive, bass, ,mid, treble all very low. Good distortion with volume, mid, treble turned up all the way, bass on 5, 5 way switch on guitar on neck-mid. Distortion O.K. I use singal coils, but I bet it has great, smooth distortion with humbuckers.

Reliability : 9
Never broke, but the plug in the back comes out sometimes. Little tape, great stuff.

Customer Support : No Opinion
