A 2X12 Combination all valve single channel unit. The T25 is 30 watts of clean power comprising of 12AX7's 6L6's. T-REX ceased production after only 200 units, mine is number 123. The project became far too costly for production and sadly put to rest in 2007. This amp is pretty versatile but typically aimed at Blues and Rock professionals. Primarily this is a simple but effective amp, the layout consists from left to right, Volume, Reverb, Cut, Bass, Middle, Treble, Gain and Normal or Bright Switching. The Chicken heads are a neat but familiar touch and dial all the way to twelve like our Fender buddies. The Reverb is foot-switch operated being a separate on board tank.

Mounted on a cream base plate, the unit is tolexed in Blue with cream heat vents and oatmeal basket weave grille cloth. Very similar look and design to a Vox AC30.

Sound Quality : 10
My amp was supplied with the original Eminence Legends, they sounded great, nice break up at low volume and strong clarity at higher ends. I have just installed original Celestion Vox branded G12M's UK built, and it's rocking, an amazing difference in terms of bottom end, headroom and overall tone. I play a single coils, P90's and Hums, all of which are terrific giving the amps ability to cope and deliver whatever you throw at it. The amp sounds lovely stand alone, very creamy lush tones and subtle breaking at low to mid vols, but throw some effects in front and big stage, here we come. I use a Boss GT-10 and love the marriage. We demo'd the amp recently using a Jimmie Vaughan signature strat, my friend, a committed blues artist and Bassman freak could not believe his ears and played for over an hour.
Overall in terms of tone, it's truly unique, very subtle when tickled then angry as hell when tanked. Large or small venues, this is perfect.

Reliability : 10
My T25 has had it's first service since 2004 only this week. So I'd say that's pretty reliable. I must admit, I've made contact with T-REX regarding the extension cabinets where I was informed of the history of my amp, and the cease in productions from Lars Jenson himself, T-Rex were quick to respond and offered any further help necessary. Fingers crossed.

Can't say, the units were shipped with 2 years warranty. My amp Doctor found it a treat to work on so easy street.

Overall Rating : 10
The sad fact is there is little or no information or reviews regarding this outstanding amp as it's no longer in production. They cost the earth for a 30watt combo first time around, I bought mine second hand and got an absolute bargain. I have a Blackstar Artisan 30, a brilliant amp but the T25 is right there with it. I suppose I have a very rare and unique amp to be proud of but it's a shame they stopped making them.
If anyone has a T-rex extension cab for sale please let me know, if this were damaged lost or stolen, I'd cry like a baby girl.

One year old, all tube amp: 3*12AX7 preamp tubes, tube rectifier and 4*EL84 power amp tubes. The amp is equipped with 2*12? Celestion Blue Alnico speakers and covered with very cool looking blue tolex.

Basic control features, without any additional circuits to ruin your tone: master volume, 3 tone controls, a ?Cut? control to lower overall higher frequencies for a smoother tone, a gain control, a reverb control and a normal/bright switch, no effects loop.

A simple yet well proven layout, just the way I like it, although a high quality effectsloop wouldn?t hurt a bit.

WOW! This amp sound AMAZING? -sort of a mix between Fender and Vox. It?s very dynamic and warm, with great harmonics and beautiful power/amp break-up and natural compression at higher volumes.
For my basic ?clean? sound with just a little grind, I crank the master volume up ? and the gain just about half way.
For effects I use various stomp-boxes and a TC G-Force, all hooked up in a T-Rex Mac I switching system (another great T-rex product).
With this setup I can produce every sound I wish to.

I?ve played for 23 years and owned/played just about any amp on the market, and this beauty takes the price. I used to drag a Mesa Boogie Mark IV half stack, a Vox AC30 TBX or a Fender Twin to every gig, but that?s all over now. I just stick with my Bigtone. I have played it on numerous gigs during the last year, and it has never let me down.
I play Fender Strat, Fender Tele, a G&L semi-hollow deluxe and a Gibson ES335 and the Bigtone just brings out the best in them all (and in me).

Reliability : 9
I?ve only played the Bigtone for 13 months, and of course I don?t know what might happen over the years, but it seems very solid.
The only bit of trouble I have had with it so far is a noisy preamp-tube. I replaced it and that fixed the problem.

When I first got the amp it was equipped with Jensen P12R speakers.
I have never cared to much about the penetrating sound of Jensen P12R speakers, and this pair was no exception. I called T-rex engineering (I live in the area). They kindly and quickly replaced the Jensen speakers with Celestion Blue?s ? they sound astonishing and are a lot louder.

Overall Rating : 10
Yes, the amp is a bit pricy, but still, the incredible sound and killer looks of this monster makes it well worth the money.
If it was stolen I would definitely get myself a new one, as soon as I had collected the insurance.

This amp is handcrafted in Denmark by T-Rex, who up until now has been best known for their fabulous stomp-boxes.

It's an all tube class 'a' amp, with a lot in common with the Vox AC30. It's a 30 watt 2x12" open-back combo, with the same controls except for the fact that it does not have a built in tremolo effect. But contrary to the AC30 it has gain and reverb controls.

It's really simple with out a lot of options, but I like it that way and I am yet to find a way to make it sound bad. In spite of the relatively few features it is very versatile and with a few stompboxes in front it suits almost any style imaginable.

Sound Quality : 10
The sound in this amp is unbelievable. I play singlecoil guitars throug it and it is just perfect. I usually turn the master all the way up to make the output tubes sing and then use the gain knob as master volume. If you crank both the gain and the master volume it'll break into overdrive.

The setting I like the most is with the master all the way up and the gain up 1/4. The sound stays clean but with an awesome sustain and the sound is very dynamic and warm. Luckily I have found this setting ideal for both unmiced gigs at pubs and bigger miced gigs.

You can't make hard rock/heavy rock sounds with this amp alone - but with a good quality stomp-box you can make it as hard as you wish. If you want to play heavy metal you probably should choose another amp with a closed back cab and much more gain.

It has the midrange and warmth of the AC30, but has a lot more open and clear top-end (almost Fender-ish). That makes it very dynamic and warm. The sound in this monster is the best I've heard so far. (I have owned Fender Deluxe, Fender Quad Reverb, Hiwatt Custom 50 and Marshalls and gigged with them all plus gigged with a Vox AC30, an Orange Top, a Fender Twin and a Fender Super Reverb.)

I play a Fender US Strat and a Fender US Tele and I can make all the sounds I want - from a ringing clean to almost clean blues tones. With a stompbox in front I can make the sweetest crunchy rock tones and screaming leads.

The amp has never let me down, but I have only owned for 3 months now. But it looks very solid and one of the things T-Rex wanted to do with this amp was to make an amp which would never break down. It is handmade with...
"Jensen capacitors, Custom Hand Wound Transformers, Ceramic Tube Sockets, 2 watt Resistors, Gold Plated Jack Sockets and wired with 2.5 mm thick epoxy board using 70mu Copper Wiring Throughout to Ensure No Signal Loss. Highest Quality Components with Tolernace Range of 1%"
Quote taken from their web-site www.t-rex-eng.com
But I can't say that much about the reliability yet.

Never dealt with them.

Overall Rating : 9
I can't really find anything bad to say about this amp except for the price. I bought it for 22.500 Danish kroner which is 1/3 more than the street price of a Vox AC30 a and almost twice as much as a Fender Super Reverb. But I find this amp much better (construction-vise and sound-vise) so it's all worth it.
It is perfect for me as I play a lot of styles and the amp is suitable for rock, pop, blues, indie and loads of other styles.
I will sum up with some good things vs. bad things:
Good things: The SOUND, it's versatile, it's portable, it looks awesome.
Bad things: The PRICE, you can't play really really loud with a totally clean sound (ok with me but a problem for some)
