One sound , but one hell of a good sound. This amp is all tone, no features. Has 4 inputs like the plexi-Marshall, active effects loop (or Reverb, which I had removed as it wasn't that impressive). No master volume, 2 EL-34's, 4 12 AX7's, and a built in Variac (Which makes for a more even and controlled modern distortion by less saturation in the transformer - If I recall correctly. I don't use it.

Use a G&L Legacy Strat-thing with VanZant pickups for that mean Texas Sound. This amp definately gets it. The amp is very quiet, especially with single coils. It's loud at 2, and just overdrives smoothly into a sweet distortion as you increase volume settings. If I could play like Hendrix, this amp would nail it. It is a fearsome beast, and on days that I'm not prepared, it can be intimidating. When I'm on the ball, it sounds like Heaven.

Andy Marshall is very friendly and helpful. Also pretty busy making Hotplates. I wonder if he'll keep making the amps??
